I'm working on a mesh beach tote bag and some baby gifts this weekend. The mesh comes in a half-yard roll and is great for making sturdy bags for the beach or market. I found a cute summer print in my stash that has flip-flops on it that pairs well with the mesh. I think it will turn out cute.

I need to start another baby quilt this weekend. Need to have it ready by Dec when the baby girl is due but with holidays and going to RI to spend time with Helen I’ll be kinda busy.

I have not sewn for several weeks--maybe a couple of months or so. Today I'm starting back on it and I'm working on cloth TP squares and some cloths pads for dd1. She likes hers but they are starting to wear and she needs more.
I was given two trash bags full of fabric. Trouble is, it's not the kind of fabric I like, which is pretty quilting cotton. There's a bunch of suede (like to cover a chair) and several other big cuts of fabric that just don't suit my style or taste. They are dated but I hate to just toss it all. I'm thinking of make some dog beds to donate to the pet shelter.

I am so proud of myself! I actually made curtains (valances) for my kitchen windows . They are made from home spun fabric. I am obsessed with it. Of course one of the things that made it easy was the checkered pattern! Hand sewn all the way!! Hugs and God bless, Helen(grammea)

I crocheted some curtains for my kitchen in Texas, and I'm still using there here now. How about a picture of your curtains? 🙂📸

Does anyone know how to post pictures here? It took me a VERY long time to figure out. And the picture has to be small - I am not sure how to tell you to make a picture smaller. I know how to do it on my computer, but not phone. Here is a short video to show you how I attached the picture of the tree hat. I made the video - it's safe! somup.com/c3j3oPUna6Maybe someone else can say how to make the picture smaller. Attachments:

I am just learning to sew, DH got me a sewing machine and serger for my retirement. Right now I am just practicing trying to stitch in a straight line. I am using scrap fabric to make "napkins".

That's wonderful! Have fun with it! A couple of nights ago one of the churches here had a sew-along. We made fabric pumpkins and it was fun. It was the first time I've gotten out and sewn with a church group and I'm so glad they started this!

I’m making scrunchies to sell in the church yard sale and working on a baby quilt. After those are done I’ll start Helen’s Christmas lap quilt (yes she knows all about it lol).
