Pro 30:1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
Pro 30:2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
Pro 30:3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
Pro 30:4 Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? who has gathered the wind in his fists? who has bound the waters in a garment? who has established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou can tell?
Pro 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Pro 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Pro 30:7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
Pro 30:8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
Pro 30:9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
Pro 30:10 Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty.
Pro 30:11 There is a generation that curses their father, and does not bless their mother.
Pro 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
Pro 30:13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
Pro 30:14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
Pro 30:15 The horse leach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:
Pro 30:16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that says not, It is enough.
Pro 30:17 The eye that mocks at his father, and despisesto obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
Pro 30:18 There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:
Pro 30:19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
Pro 30:20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eats, and wipes her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
Pro 30:21 For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear:
Pro 30:22 For a servant when he reigns; and a fool when he is filled with meat;
Pro 30:23 For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress.
Pro 30:24 There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:
Pro 30:25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
Pro 30:26 The conies** are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
Pro 30:27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
Pro 30:28 The spider takes hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.
Pro 30:29 There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going:
Pro 30:30 A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turns not away for any;
Pro 30:31 A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up.
Pro 30:32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.
Pro 30:33 Surely the churning of milk brings forth butter, and the wringing of the nose brings forth blood: so the forcing of wrath brings forth strife.
**Conies: I have always thought they were a bird. I looked it up. Apparently it is some kind of rabbit. The definition is a kind of rabbit fur.

Pro 31:1 The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him.
Pro 31:2 What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?
Pro 31:3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroys kings.
Pro 31:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
Pro 31:5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.
Pro 31:6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
Pro 31:7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
Pro 31:8 Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.
Pro 31:9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
Pro 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
Pro 31:11 The heart of her husband safely trusts in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
Pro 31:12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
Pro 31:13 She seeks wool, and flax, and works willingly with her hands.
Pro 31:14 She is like the merchants' ships; she brings her food from afar.
Pro 31:15 She rises also while it is yet night, and gives meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
Pro 31:16 She considers a field, and buys it: with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.
Pro 31:17 She girds her loins with strength, and strengthens her arms.
Pro 31:18 She perceives that her merchandise is good: her candle goes not out by night.
Pro 31:19 She lays her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
Pro 31:20 She stretches out her hand to the poor; yea, she reaches forth her hands to the needy.
Pro 31:21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
Pro 31:22 She makes herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
Pro 31:23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land.
Pro 31:24 She makes fine linen, and sells it; and delivers girdles unto the merchant.
Pro 31:25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
Pro 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
Pro 31:27 She looks well to the ways of her household, and eats not the bread of idleness.
Pro 31:28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.
Pro 31:29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excels them all.
Pro 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
Pro 31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. ***
Verses 10-31 are the definition of a Titus 2 woman.

The Beginning of Knowledge
Pro 1:1 The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel:
Pro 1:2 To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight,
Pro 1:3 to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity;
Pro 1:4 to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth—
Pro 1:5 Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,
Pro 1:6 to understand a proverb and a saying, the words of the wise and their riddles.
Pro 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
The Enticement of Sinners
Pro 1:8 Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching,
Pro 1:9 for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck.
Pro 1:10 My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent.
Pro 1:11 If they say, “Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood; let us ambush the innocent without reason;
Pro 1:12 like Sheol let us swallow them alive, and whole, like those who go down to the pit;
Pro 1:13 we shall find all precious goods, we shall fill our houses with plunder;
Pro 1:14 throw in your lot among us; we will all have one purse”—
Pro 1:15 my son, do not walk in the way with them; hold back your foot from their paths,
Pro 1:16 for their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed blood.
Pro 1:17 For in vain is a net spread in the sight of any bird,
Pro 1:18 but these men lie in wait for their own blood; they set an ambush for their own lives.
Pro 1:19 Such are the ways of everyone who is greedy for unjust gain; it takes away the life of its possessors.
The Call of Wisdom
Pro 1:20 Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice;
Pro 1:21 at the head of the noisy streets she cries out; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks:
Pro 1:22 “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?
Pro 1:23 If you turn at my reproof, behold, I will pour out my spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.
Pro 1:24 Because I have called and you refused to listen, have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded,
Pro 1:25 because you have ignored all my counsel and would have none of my reproof,
Pro 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you,
Pro 1:27 when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you.
Pro 1:28 Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but will not find me.
Pro 1:29 Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD,
Pro 1:30 would have none of my counsel and despised all my reproof,
Pro 1:31 therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way, and have their fill of their own devices.
Pro 1:32 For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the complacency of fools destroys them;
Pro 1:33 but whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.”

The Value of Wisdom
Pro 2:1 My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you,
Pro 2:2 making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding;
Pro 2:3 yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding,
Pro 2:4 if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures,
Pro 2:5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.
Pro 2:6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
Pro 2:7 he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
Pro 2:8 guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.
Pro 2:9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path;
Pro 2:10 for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;
Pro 2:11 discretion will watch over you, understanding will guard you,
Pro 2:12 delivering you from the way of evil, from men of perverted speech,
Pro 2:13 who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,
Pro 2:14 who rejoice in doing evil and delight in the perverseness of evil,
Pro 2:15 men whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways.
Pro 2:16 So you will be delivered from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words,
Pro 2:17 who forsakes the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God;
Pro 2:18 for her house sinks down to death, and her paths to the departed;
Pro 2:19 none who go to her come back, nor do they regain the paths of life.
Pro 2:20 So you will walk in the way of the good and keep to the paths of the righteous.
Pro 2:21 For the upright will inhabit the land, and those with integrity will remain in it,
Pro 2:22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous will be rooted out of it.

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart
Pro 3:1 My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments,
Pro 3:2 for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.
Pro 3:3 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.
Pro 3:4 So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.
Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Pro 3:7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.
Pro 3:8 It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.
Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce;
Pro 3:10 then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.
Pro 3:11 My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline or be weary of his reproof,
Pro 3:12 for the LORD reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.
Blessed Is the One Who Finds Wisdom
Pro 3:13 Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding,
Pro 3:14 for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.
Pro 3:15 She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her.
Pro 3:16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.
Pro 3:17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
Pro 3:18 She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed.
Pro 3:19 The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding he established the heavens;
Pro 3:20 by his knowledge the deeps broke open, and the clouds drop down the dew.
Pro 3:21 My son, do not lose sight of these— keep sound wisdom and discretion,
Pro 3:22 and they will be life for your soul and adornment for your neck.
Pro 3:23 Then you will walk on your way securely, and your foot will not stumble.
Pro 3:24 If you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
Pro 3:25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror or of the ruin of the wicked, when it comes,
Pro 3:26 for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.
Pro 3:27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.
Pro 3:28 Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again, tomorrow I will give it”—when you have it with you.
Pro 3:29 Do not plan evil against your neighbor, who dwells trustingly beside you.
Pro 3:30 Do not contend with a man for no reason, when he has done you no harm.
Pro 3:31 Do not envy a man of violence and do not choose any of his ways,
Pro 3:32 for the devious person is an abomination to the LORD, but the upright are in his confidence.
Pro 3:33 The LORD's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the dwelling of the righteous.
Pro 3:34 Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor.
Pro 3:35 The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace.

A Father's Wise Instruction
Pro 4:1 Hear, O sons, a father's instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight,
Pro 4:2 for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching.
Pro 4:3 When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother,
Pro 4:4 he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live.
Pro 4:5 Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth.
Pro 4:6 Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you.
Pro 4:7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.
Pro 4:8 Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her.
Pro 4:9 She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.”
Pro 4:10 Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many.
Pro 4:11 I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness.
Pro 4:12 When you walk, your step will not be hampered, and if you run, you will not stumble.
Pro 4:13 Keep hold of instruction; do not let go; guard her, for she is your life.
Pro 4:14 Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil.
Pro 4:15 Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on.
Pro 4:16 For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong; they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble.
Pro 4:17 For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.
Pro 4:18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.
Pro 4:19 The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble.
Pro 4:20 My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.
Pro 4:21 Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart.
Pro 4:22 For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.
Pro 4:23 Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
Pro 4:24 Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you.
Pro 4:25 Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.
Pro 4:26 Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure.
Pro 4:27 Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.

Warning Against Adultery
Pro 5:1 My son, be attentive to my wisdom; incline your ear to my understanding,
Pro 5:2 that you may keep discretion, and your lips may guard knowledge.
Pro 5:3 For the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil,
Pro 5:4 but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
Pro 5:5 Her feet go down to death; her steps follow the path to Sheol;
Pro 5:6 she does not ponder the path of life; her ways wander, and she does not know it.
Pro 5:7 And now, O sons, listen to me, and do not depart from the words of my mouth.
Pro 5:8 Keep your way far from her, and do not go near the door of her house,
Pro 5:9 lest you give your honor to others and your years to the merciless,
Pro 5:10 lest strangers take their fill of your strength, and your labors go to the house of a foreigner,
Pro 5:11 and at the end of your life you groan, when your flesh and body are consumed,
Pro 5:12 and you say, “How I hated discipline, and my heart despised reproof!
Pro 5:13 I did not listen to the voice of my teachers or incline my ear to my instructors.
Pro 5:14 I am at the brink of utter ruin in the assembled congregation.”
Pro 5:15 Drink water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well.
Pro 5:16 Should your springs be scattered abroad, streams of water in the streets?
Pro 5:17 Let them be for yourself alone, and not for strangers with you.
Pro 5:18 Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth,
Pro 5:19 a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts fill you at all times with delight; be intoxicated always in her love.
Pro 5:20 Why should you be intoxicated, my son, with a forbidden woman and embrace the bosom of an adulteress?
Pro 5:21 For a man's ways are before the eyes of the LORD, and he ponders all his paths.
Pro 5:22 The iniquities of the wicked ensnare him, and he is held fast in the cords of his sin.
Pro 5:23 He dies for lack of discipline, and because of his great folly he is led astray.

Practical Warnings
Pro 6:1 My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor, have given your pledge for a stranger,
Pro 6:2 if you are snared in the words of your mouth, caught in the words of your mouth,
Pro 6:3 then do this, my son, and save yourself, for you have come into the hand of your neighbor: go, hasten, and plead urgently with your neighbor.
Pro 6:4 Give your eyes no sleep and your eyelids no slumber;
Pro 6:5 save yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the hand of the fowler.
Pro 6:6 Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.
Pro 6:7 Without having any chief, officer, or ruler,
Pro 6:8 she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest.
Pro 6:9 How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep?
Pro 6:10 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest,
Pro 6:11 and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man.
Pro 6:12 A worthless person, a wicked man, goes about with crooked speech,
Pro 6:13 winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, points with his finger,
Pro 6:14 with perverted heart devises evil, continually sowing discord;
Pro 6:15 therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly; in a moment he will be broken beyond healing.
Pro 6:16 There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him:
Pro 6:17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Pro 6:18 a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil,
Pro 6:19 a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
Warnings Against Adultery
Pro 6:20 My son, keep your father's commandment, and forsake not your mother's teaching.
Pro 6:21 Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.
Pro 6:22 When you walk, they will lead you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; and when you awake, they will talk with you.
Pro 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life,
Pro 6:24 to preserve you from the evil woman, from the smooth tongue of the adulteress.
Pro 6:25 Do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes;
Pro 6:26 for the price of a prostitute is only a loaf of bread, but a married woman hunts down a precious life.
Pro 6:27 Can a man carry fire next to his chest and his clothes not be burned?
Pro 6:28 Or can one walk on hot coals and his feet not be scorched?
Pro 6:29 So is he who goes in to his neighbor's wife; none who touches her will go unpunished.
Pro 6:30 People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his appetite when he is hungry,
Pro 6:31 but if he is caught, he will pay sevenfold; he will give all the goods of his house.
Pro 6:32 He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself.
Pro 6:33 He will get wounds and dishonor, and his disgrace will not be wiped away.
Pro 6:34 For jealousy makes a man furious, and he will not spare when he takes revenge.
Pro 6:35 He will accept no compensation; he will refuse though you multiply gifts.

Warning Against the Adulteress
Pro 7:1 My son, keep my words, And lay up my commandments with thee.
Pro 7:2 Keep my commandments and live; And my law as the apple of thine eye.
Pro 7:3 Bind them upon thy fingers; Write them upon the tablet of thy heart.
Pro 7:4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; And call understanding thy kinswoman:
Pro 7:5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, From the foreigner that flattereth with her words.
Pro 7:6 For at the window of my house I looked forth through my lattice;
Pro 7:7 And I beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, A young man void of understanding,
Pro 7:8 Passing through the street near her corner; And he went the way to her house,
Pro 7:9 In the twilight, in the evening of the day, In the middle of the night and in the darkness.
Pro 7:10 And, behold, there met him a woman With the attire of a harlot, and wily of heart.
Pro 7:11 (She is clamorous and wilful; Her feet abide not in her house:
Pro 7:12 Now she is in the streets, now in the broad places, And lieth in wait at every corner.)
Pro 7:13 So she caught him, and kissed him, And with an impudent face she said unto him:
Pro 7:14 Sacrifices of peace-offerings are with me; This day have I paid my vows.
Pro 7:15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, Diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
Pro 7:16 I have spread my couch with carpets of tapestry, With striped cloths of the yarn of Egypt.
Pro 7:17 I have perfumed my bed With myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
Pro 7:18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning; Let us solace ourselves with loves.
Pro 7:19 For the man is not at home; He is gone a long journey:
Pro 7:20 He hath taken a bag of money with him; He will come home at the full moon.
Pro 7:21 With her much fair speech she causeth him to yield; With the flattering of her lips she forceth him along.
Pro 7:22 He goeth after her straightway, As an ox goeth to the slaughter, Or as one in fetters to the correction of the fool;
Pro 7:23 Till an arrow strike through his liver; As a bird hasteth to the snare, And knoweth not that it is for his life.
Pro 7:24 Now therefore, my sons, hearken unto me, And attend to the words of my mouth.
Pro 7:25 Let not thy heart decline to her ways; Go not astray in her paths.
Pro 7:26 For she hath cast down many wounded: Yea, all her slain are a mighty host.
Pro 7:27 Her house is the way to Sheol, Going down to the chambers of death.

The Blessings of Wisdom
Pro 8:1 Doth not wisdom cry, And understanding put forth her voice?
Pro 8:2 On the top of high places by the way, Where the paths meet, she standeth;
Pro 8:3 Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, At the coming in at the doors, she crieth aloud:
Pro 8:4 Unto you, O men, I call; And my voice is to the sons of men.
Pro 8:5 O ye simple, understand prudence; And, ye fools, be of an understanding heart.
Pro 8:6 Hear, for I will speak excellent things; And the opening of my lips shall be right things.
Pro 8:7 For my mouth shall utter truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
Pro 8:8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; There is nothing crooked or perverse in them.
Pro 8:9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, And right to them that find knowledge.
Pro 8:10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; And knowledge rather than choice gold.
Pro 8:11 For wisdom is better than rubies; And all the things that may be desired are not to be compared unto it.
Pro 8:12 I wisdom have made prudence my dwelling, And find out knowledge and discretion.
Pro 8:13 The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil: Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, And the perverse mouth, do I hate.
Pro 8:14 Counsel is mine, and sound knowledge: I am understanding; I have might.
Pro 8:15 By me kings reign, And princes decree justice.
Pro 8:16 By me princes rule, And nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
Pro 8:17 I love them that love me; And those that seek me diligently shall find me.
Pro 8:18 Riches and honor are with me; Yea, durable wealth and righteousness.
Pro 8:19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; And my revenue than choice silver.
Pro 8:20 I walk in the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of justice;
Pro 8:21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance, And that I may fill their treasuries.
Pro 8:22 Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his way, Before his works of old.
Pro 8:23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, Before the earth was.
Pro 8:24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth, When there were no fountains abounding with water.
Pro 8:25 Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills was I brought forth;
Pro 8:26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, Nor the beginning of the dust of the world.
Pro 8:27 When he established the heavens, I was there: When he set a circle upon the face of the deep,
Pro 8:28 When he made firm the skies above, When the fountains of the deep became strong,
Pro 8:29 When he gave to the sea its bound, That the waters should not transgress his commandment, When he marked out the foundations of the earth;
Pro 8:30 Then I was by him, as a master workman; And I was daily his delight, Rejoicing always before him,
Pro 8:31 Rejoicing in his habitable earth; And my delight was with the sons of men.
Pro 8:32 Now therefore, my sons, hearken unto me; For blessed are they that keep my ways.
Pro 8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, And refuse it not.
Pro 8:34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.
Pro 8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, And shall obtain favor of Jehovah.
Pro 8:36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: All they that hate me love death.

The Way of Wisdom
Pro 9:1 Wisdom hath builded her house; She hath hewn out her seven pillars:
Pro 9:2 She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; She hath also furnished her table:
Pro 9:3 She hath sent forth her maidens; She crieth upon the highest places of the city:
Pro 9:4 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: As for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,
Pro 9:5 Come, eat ye of my bread, And drink of the wine which I have mingled.
Pro 9:6 Leave off, ye simple ones, and live; And walk in the way of understanding.
Pro 9:7 He that correcteth a scoffer getteth to himself reviling; And he that reproveth a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
Pro 9:8 Reprove not a scoffer, lest he hate thee: Reprove a wise man, and he will love thee.
Pro 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.
Pro 9:10 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Pro 9:11 For by me thy days shall be multiplied, And the years of thy life shall be increased.
Pro 9:12 If thou art wise, thou art wise for thyself; And if thou scoffest, thou alone shalt bear it.
The Way of Folly
Pro 9:13 The foolish woman is clamorous; She is simple, and knoweth nothing.
Pro 9:14 And she sitteth at the door of her house, On a seat in the high places of the city,
Pro 9:15 To call to them that pass by, Who go right on their ways:
Pro 9:16 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither; And as for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,
Pro 9:17 Stolen waters are sweet, And bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
Pro 9:18 But he knoweth not that the dead are there; That her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
