Let's share pictures of our gardens. I will get some this afternoon to share of mine. In the mean time, my roses are doing well. This bush was planted with my home in 1951 so it is 69 years old! According to the neighbors between the passing of the owner and my purchase she was cut to the ground twice. She is getting a bit twiggy and i am not sure what to do about that. I have this week discovered an oak and a pecan tree growing up inside her but I am not sure how to get rid of them with out harming her. I have no interest in saving either tree. I have enough leaves in my yard from the neighbors trees.

No garden in the ground for me again this year. However, I have a lot of container plants. The large terracotta box has squash, but I'm not sure how it will do, since this location doesn't get full sun. It gets the most sun of our property, but not full sun. The others are sweet potatoes, which are thriving, ginger, and a pineapple plant which doesn't like the temperatures but still keeps plugging along!

Finally got some pictures!
Cucumbers and peppers
omatoes, Cantaloupe and mints. Spearmint and sweet mint I think.
Bay Leaf tree in my office. So far the only plant the cats have not destroyed inside.

Now my front plants. This one might take 2 posts. I didn't do all of the back yard either. Just the edibles. The front is all pretties not edibles. The Cannas, ditch lilies and Iris my sister planted for me when she was here in October. These are on the left side of my house. If looking from the street.
Front porch pots. These will be moved to the back yard too. I want to plant the rose against the back fence. I am thinking of renting a tiller and hiring the boys to come do that. Not MY boys but the church boys.
Here is the iris bed. The former owner had iris but then planted a bush that killed off her iris. So last spring for my birthday my sister and her hubby and Herman and Linda got the bush out and planted iris from my sisters garden. Next post, the other front pots and side plants!

Beautiful pics! We planted flowers but as usual, the deer got them. We even bought the "deer-resistant" kind, but it seems our deer are not picky eaters. LOL! We planted a few things in a raised bed but something keeps digging it up every night and I finally gave up. I think there's one lettuce plant left. The rest died. Oh well, at least the deer are fed.

I, too, have a garden for the first time in a while. We have had too much rain, and it's not doing very well. I have a good stand of potatoes, but my green beans never came up. I just replanted them and we got 5" of rain. Oh well. My potatoes are doing the best. Everything else is struggling. It will be OK.

Pretty sad actually. Between horrible heat, a break in our water line waiting to be fixed and no rain, my veggies are not looking too good. My cilantro is flourishing, and so is my corm, but little else. I have a few basil plants that came up and some sad looking lettuce and dill, but most things either didn't come up or died with the heat. I have been hauling buckets of water outside but it just isn't enough.

I decided to wait until all the weeds & grass is pulled from the gardens before I take pics. The weeds are so tall (almost knee high)in the watermelon garden that you can't see the watermelons that's growing. Dh and I have been pulling the weeds most every evening when it cools down but we have to be careful that we don't step on the vines. The back garden has grass growing up around the plants so I'll tackle that this evening. Up until now I wasn't physically able to get out to the gardens and dh did not have the time.
