Good Morning ladies.
Well the rains did not come as promised last night. Just wind and thunder. I didn't even see any lightening just heard a bit of thunder. Today's high should reach 95. Still feeling punk but have some energy. I have to call the culligan people because the machine is not working at the moment. I want to do a load of wash since it is not supposed to rain today. I may work in the back yard a bit too. gather all the small pool toys that were scattered around and then use the leaf blower to clean up around the pool. Get the old pump into the garage and things like that. I may not be hosting a BBQ this year for my bday but I want the area to look nice anyway. I need to begin walking too. I may need to use my walker at first, just as a safety on the uneven road. I don't use it usually but this road hurts my legs and back. Any walking for more than 5 minutes does that.
I need to decide on dinner. MJ will have beef I may dig out some chicken for me. I am tired of beef. I might could go for a nice steak but I don't have any atm.

It's beautiful here today so far. It's supposed to get up to 89 this afternoon, but I'll have to be inside by then. I have a meeting at 12:30 that will work on my laptop, but then I tutor at 3, and this laptop doesn't work quite so well for that platform. After today, we'll be using Zoom, so I won't always have to be at my desktop.
I am kind of puttering this morning. I'm reading bits of things and previewed some videos for resources for classes I'm going to teach. I just found out I have another class to teach in June. It's a very small amount of money, but it all adds up.

Mel- that is so aggravating when they call for rain and then it doesn't. It's almost like you put up with a headache for nothing! Glad you had energy today! I need to start walking again, too. I was doing so well before this mess started.
Sandra- It is nice you are able to work from home! You are right...it all adds up.
It was overcast today, but warm. I've been feeling a little blah lately, so I haven't been doing as much as I could be doing. I got through my daily list, my weekly chores for today, and my monthly chore for today, and then I read three cozy mysteries (online). Oh, I did get DS18's cap and gown ordered, too. We'll be picking that up (curbside) on Monday. Wednesday we'll be going to the place where his graduation would have been and getting some pictures taken. And, the best news of all...his steel drum director emailed him and asked if he wanted to play lead pan drum for Pomp and Circumstance! She'll be dropping the drum off the day before the virtual graduation. This, of course, was his last year playing steel drums (it is a city wide ensemble for middle school and high school, that you have to audition for). He's been with the ensemble since 7th grade and it was a big let down with all of this going on. Even more so than graduation, I think. So he is very excited to have this opportunity to play.
Sorry for the rambling!

I had to be at the hospital by 7:30 so we were out the door by 6. Surgery started at 8:50 and was over by 9:20 or so. Was home by 1:00 or so. Been in some really bad pain but I'm getting on top of it. Using crutches to go to the bathroom but otherwise I'm staying in the recliner or bed.
