In 2017, we were in need of a toaster oven. There was a GREAT model on sale at Costco, but we waited just a bit too long and it was gone. So, we got an inexpensive model. It has lasted 2-/12 years, but now the toasting element won't work.
DH uses this every day for breakfast, and most days for his lunch (or, until it died, he did!). He wants to get a new one around June 1.
What model toaster oven do you have that has been a real workhorse?

I have to comment here... I started looking around. What I want I don't think is for sale any more... but, ladies, no kidding, I found a model of toaster oven for $700! I can't even! It must be something really special! Seriously, maybe it's for a hotel or something, but I certainly can't see why....?

There is no way I'd spend $700 on a toaster oven. We don't have one since there is not enough counter space. One day though maybe I'll have the space.

Rest assured, we won't either, Gina! I did feel a little bad for DH this morning. I found him in the kitchen staring quizzically into the toaster oven. He's been toasting bread using the bake setting, and apparently that died this morning, too.

When I was a home health aide the lady only wanted "real" toasted bread. That meant buttering the bread and toasting it in a pan. Cast iron to be exact. I admit, it did taste better that way.

I am tempted to suggest a regular toaster, but 3-4 days a week, DH cooks his special gluten-free chicken nuggets in there for lunch. It's not as hot (or as expensive) as hearing the big oven. I wonder if I could convince him to use the air fry and go back to a regular toaster.

Maybe ask him to try the AF a few times and if it doesn't do what he needs then look for a toaster oven... It seems a fair compromise.

I used to have a toaster oven years ago but never replaced it. Sometimes I think about it but then look at my counters and wonder where I'd put it lol. I do m miss being able to make one slice of cheesy toast!

Update: He agreed to try the Air Fryer for his lunch and likes it, so a regular toaster it is!

I broke down and got a $20 at Walmart. I couldn’t decided on a more expensive one. I figured I would just buy another when it craps out. Been using it a few years now.
