Good morning ladies,
I learn a new word almost every time I look for fitting adjectives that go with how I am feeling. So sanguine, as you probably know has the meaning of "confidently optimistic and cheerful". I think knowing who we are should always make us confident, confidently optimistic and cheerful. After all, we are daughters of a king, thus princesses and we can rejoice in his glory, no matter what.
I hope you enjoy your morning coffee. I already had mine. I have a lot to do today, since I didn't get anything done yesterday. So that calls for 15s.... Seems I get a lot more done that way. I need to clean my kitchen, change my sheets and swiffer my floor. I also need to clean my bathroom. This afternoon I want to sew me a skirt for church tomorrow. I have this really cute jeans fabric with imprinted lace on the bottom, so that will make a cute skirt for tomorrow. Looking forward to that. For dinner tonight, I will have sausages with bell peppers and potatoes
Here is your Bibelverse: Phil 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Have an awesome, rejoicing and blessed Saturday.

I hope you are feeling better today Doris! My day has begun. Normally I wake up and come here to post the Proverbs for the day. Today I woke up and laid back down for an hour. When I did get up I: Fed cats gathered and took out trash put away a load of laundry gathered and started a load of laundry
At 10 the children from church will be here to help clean up the yard and put in the garden. I have my very own tiller now so yard digging will be easier. I have a few things I need hung too and a large pile of junk to go to the curb for bulk pick up day.
Oh and I want to dig a hole and "plant" MJ's old IV pole to use as a humming bird feeder hanger in the yard. I think that should do for today... Not sure yet on food. I just had Bavarian pretzels with my coffee so I am not hungry atm...

You are quite a busy beaver Mel. Glad you have someone to help you do stuff. I am still waiting for my kids to come over and help me with my hallway. anyway, what are Bavarian pretzels, if you don't mind me asking. I live in Bavaria as you know and I wonder if they look like ours.

Doris, I get them from Schwan's. They are lighter and fluffier than the New Yrk pretzels at the grocery. I have a recipe, it has just been to hot lately to try baking anything. Especially since I try not to turn the ac on until 9pm. It is usually 80+ by 10 am and I can not do cooking early...
I just heard and they children will be here any minute! heehee I am excited! Sadly they are moving at the end of June. Their family in Wyoming need them back.

Good morning, ladies. I finished teachng about an hour again, and spent the time since writing my reports and helping DH carry in the groceries. It was his turn this week, and he was out and back by 9 AM.
I'm going to do what I need to get ready for my classes on Monday morning. Later, after lunch, I'm going to pull all the furniture out of this room and rearrange. Calling it a room is a stretch - it's really the size of a small walk-in closet, but it's big enough for my needs. I think I can use my space better for my summer classes with a little re-arranging. But with a room this small, I can't really move things around. I have to move them OUT, then bring them back in in a different order.

Doris, I remember the soft pretzels I used to get when I lived in Hanau. They were cut through the middle and had ham & cheese in them and were heated up. So good! I'm still having to take it easy. Dh wasn't able to get home last night until after midnight so I had to go out and feed the animals. Therefore I was really sore afterwards. He fed all the critters this morning before he left to go fishing with the men from church. I'm watching tv, reading, and may work on my sister's quilt.

Dishwasher loaded and running. Washer about ready for me to move stuff to the dryer I need to do a deep scrub of the kitchen floor but I don't think it will happen today. I have a long list of stuff to get done outside and today for me that is more important.

My teaching room si pretty much re-arranged. In the process, I discovered that one set of storage drawers are falling apart. Eek! I have some things I'm taking out of this room that I need to put away elsewhere in the house, but then I will need to go through those drawers and find places for thos things before the set collapses. I'm glad I found this out before it happpened some morning while I was working.

I have a well tilled garden space. It was too hot earlier to plant and now it seems about to storm again. My head is already beginning to ache. The guys fenced the garden, and Keegan even created a gate for it from scraps he found in the shed. They also got all the junk pile out to the curb, trimmed back a troublesome bush invading from the neighbor's yard and planted my 2 new rose bushes. Plus moved most of my potted plant into the back yard.
They did in 3 hours what would have taken us weeks to do!
