Good morning ladies,
it is Monday morning. Memorial Day for you, so happy Memorial Day. Yesterday my pastor preached an awesome message, which, since we now have 2 services (one German, one English) either can be live streamed or audio. Love technology. I post the English audio right here (sermon), if you want to listen to it you have to scroll ahead about 10 minutes, before that is actually nothing. We are still learning, lol. The title was "If you don't see the forest for the trees" and was basically about enjoying what God has given us instead of focusing on the bad in our lives. And that is where a lot of time the problem lies. We focus too much on our problems, instead on the greatness of God. All we see is the trees, instead of looking at the greater picture and that is the beauty of the forest. What drives the point home is the comparison he made.... you can either look at the rose having thorns or you can look at the thorns having a beautiful rose. The choice is ours, so let's choose our perspectives wisely.
Today I have already cleaned my kitchen, made my bed, doing a load of laundry right now and folding another load which I will put away later. I also have to take care of my living room which is really messy, yarn everywhere, welcome to creative chaos.
For dinner tonight I am going to have an all time German favorite, Currywurst with Fries. It is basically a Bratwurst with a curry sauce, although I am going to use curry ketchup and instead of fries, I am going to make sweet potato fries and a cucumber salad. I must say, I do love my Air Fryer. To put a portion of fries in it, without all the oil, instead of putting it in the oven, having to take the cookie sheets and whatnot out and and and... well you know what I am talking about.
Here is your verse for the day: Ps 27:4-6 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
Have an awesome Memorial Day.
Love you all
