So, dd2 is working at a hotel and her boss let her bring home any stained sheets, as they know I sew. Most of these have small ink stains or food stains, or small tears. They have been washed three times and are very clean and soft. I plan to sew pillowcases and then machine embroider them, maybe as Christmas gifts. Some of these sheets are very new looking! Some were not in as good of shape, so I stuffed them into a stained pillowcase and made a bed pillow for the dogs. They love the new "bed." I also want to make baby gowns to donate for Operation Smile or other charities.
Any other suggestions? I had thought to use the elastic on the fitted sheets, but the elastic has been sewn down and it's too much mess and work to remove it.

I don't have any ideas, but what an awesome bounty!

I don't have any more ideas either - I'm impressed with your way to repurpose them. That's wonderful!

I don't have any ideas really either but this one just occurred to me. What bout rage rugs? dye them, cut them in strips and weave them or rather braid them together. May not be practical but it might be fun... Maybe something you can offer for sale eventually too.
