When you got the word you were type 2, what did you do? I read a lot of folks experience fear. For me it was more of a wake up call to get back to healthy habits. I am of the mind though that we can still enjoy the same meals, desserts with a few modifications. For instance I plan to use almond flour instead of wheat for cake, cookies and breads. I will use splenda or swerve instead of sugar in those same things as well as tea. I already work to get more veggies in the diet and more proteins.
What do you do to have a full menu?

I didn't have any fear but was frustrated. I knew it would be difficult to change my eating habits. I was also having to learn CHF at the same time. Everyone is different as to what degree foods affect their blood sugar. I have found that things like thin pizza crust doesn't affect my sugar as much as potatoes. Maybe it has something to do with the meat (protein) on the pizza.
