I am trying to come up with a diabetic friendly master grocery list. What items to you keep on hand?
I already have almond flour and swerve I keep seeing pork rinds listed, and I will get some, MJ doesn't like them so they will be a good me snack. Peaches and apples too. Though I will have to do the canned peaches. cottage cheese I will do the frozen riced cauliflower and look or the veggie noodles. Cheese peanut butter What else?

Mel, one thing I will share about the frozen cauli-rice is this. I suggest repackaging it. I have bought this a few times at Costco in the big bag to save money. I really like it, but I am the only person who eats it. Even though the bag has a zip closure, I find that it gets freezer burnt and turns into a big ROCK that I can't even get out of the bag. Next time I get it, I plan to put it in smaller baggies to be sure that it will last until I'm ready to eat it.

Very good idea Sandra. MJ is already saying he doesn't like it, won't eat it. I have plenty of rice on hand for him. I also read to try barley in place of rice.

I like to keep a few almonds or peanuts on hand. Also, garden veggies like greens and yellow squash or zucchini can be used many ways. You can make pizza bites with the zucchini or use it instead of pasta noodles for a veggie lasagna.

I have seen the veggie pastas and want to try those and riced cauliflower. MJ is not happy about either one.
