Please post your fasting reading from when you first take it each day. For example. When I took mine at 8:45 it was 165. High but not outrageous for me. I am only a month into my journey and feeling better daily! Feel free to post pictures of your monitor as well.

Still to high but getting lower as I figure out the food stuff.

This morning mine was 124. It might've been the few bites of fried rice and whatever the peppered steak was cooked in at the Chinese restaurant last night.

I'm still trying to figure it out! I pricked my finger, used the strip and put it in the monitor correctly, and got an error reading! UGH!

What monitor do you have? On mine I have to put the strip in the monitor before I put blood on it. My reading this morning was 132. Considering i either didn't eat, or at junk yesterday I am happy with that. The only real meal I had was PB toast and coffee. The rest of the day I munched here and there on pork rinds. I had a handful of corn chips last night. Just had no appetite and didn't feel up to eating anything.

Yesterday i was busy, working on decorating, decluttering and getting ready to make stuff. So I grabbed fast food. Cheese sandwich, chips, so on. I expected my number to be high today, a lot of bread went down yesterday. It came back LO. Which on this meter is 70. I am a touch dizzy but feel normal otherwise. My BP is good, 90/75

I was surprised by my reading this morning. MJ did some pc work and wanted McDonalds. Well as you know they now have NOTHING healthy to eat. My thought had been get a grid chicken sandwich and side salad, then dismantle the sandwich and have a grilled chicken salad. Ummm no grilled anything and no salad! They did however have the McRib, which I know is awful, even by junk food standards but is to me, so tasty. So I threw caution to the wind and got that. I had 1 fry, and then MJ urged nuggets. I ate 5 iI think. I was crammed full. I laid down for my usual afternoon rest and when I got up my BG was LO... on my meter LO is 70. If it goes below 70 it gives a number, above 70 it gives a number. So I figured my morning number would sky rocket. The last 2 days I have woke up LO. Well this morning it is 155. Considering that is where it has been until the last week, either a bit higher or a bit lower but that is center. Not bad at all.

I averaged mine this morning. First it was 74 a few seconds later (long enough to switch out test strip and get blood from the same prick) it was 156 Neither felt right but the averaged 115 feels about right. MJ wanted McDonalds again so I had a McRib. Then Linda brought me a gift from her preachers wife and it was all candy, 5 pieces in all and I had that later, with almonds and the summer sausage that went with it.
