Good Morning Ladies. Today I make pies and deviled eggs. Peel and chop potatoes and clean out the turkey to take to my son's house. I gather roasters and crockpots all to go there and cook things over night. Then after eating tomorrow i wash it all and cart it back home. This is the last holiday I plan to do this for. I am too old for all the schlepping. On the home front I plan to do laundry and hopefully finish off the front room. Not sure on food tonight.

I don't plan on much besides potatoes, gravy and turkey breast, since Ryan hates cranberries and stuffing, and the pumpkin pie is already made. We both despise green bean casserole, so it is simply a matter of deciding on a veggie. I probably ought to do some cleaning in the living room, which is pretty dusty, but in a pandemic when no one comes over, it is almost like, what for? Bad attitude I know, but my first Thanksgiving without Darrell, and we aren't going anywhere due to my brother being sick. He is being tested for Covid this morning, as he is quite sick. Please pray for him.

Merrilee, hugs honey you have had a bad time this year. Next year will be better. I don't do green bean casserole, I can't stand it. I just do green beans with onion the way my fil did. I don't add bacon. At least i won't cuz I don't have any. I always have green beans and corn as veggies. I have a can of cranberry sauce for MJ but I will make some sugar free for me. I LOVE cranberries! Right now I am working on Barbie auctions.

I went to the dr this morning to be tested. Had to stay in the car, and even pay over the phone, until the nurse took me to the treatment room. I've had a sore throat, headache, and sinus pain off and on for about 10 days. Started getting more short of breath yesterday. That symptom is normal for CHF but I wasn't retaining fluid. She did the deep (scrap the brain) swap since it's more sensitive although it'll take about 2 days for the result. Anyway, I came home and took a nap. I'm going to go outside to throw discarded produce to the animals then put eggs in the fridge. Dinner will be leftovers.

It has been a busy day here for sure and it isn't over yet, but it's been a great day!
So far I've made the base for a gluten free pumpkin roll (need to fill it, which will happen after I clean up the kitchen), an apple cream pie, hard boiled eggs, and canned 7 quarts of turkey. DS15 peeled the eggs and sliced them, but for some reason sliced them the wrong way. lol! They will still taste delicious! I need to make fillings and fill them (one regular, one horseradish). I also need to slice the ham, make the mashed potatoes, and make the macaroni and cheese. DD16 made the Oreo stuff. I made the stuffing the other day, so that's done. My mom is bringing a cherry jello thing that she makes every holiday and green bean casserole (I *love* green bean casserole! lol!) MIL is bringing sweet potato casserole, rolls, and a non gluten free pumpkin roll. Tomorrow, when I am up and everyone including the dogs are asleep, I will vacuum the living room really well and sweep and mop the floors. Then watch the parade and relax because everything is finished!

Well our plans changed. Now they are coming here... which means tidying up as well as cooking. I have until 3 tomorrow to get things done. I need to get out the roaster for the turkey. I can get the ham one our tomorrow. I still plan to do the turkey over night but the ham will only take 2 hours or less. The mashed potatoes will go in a crockpot as will the sweet potatoes. Cooking them in the morning since they won't be here until 3... supposedly.
