OK I went to Walmart Friday, I found tea light holders in cute shapes. Animals, snow people. My plan is to go to Dollar Tree and get those battery tea lights and add to the gift. The holder comes with tea lights but most of the people I know have asthma and or allergies that makes the battery lights a much better, more thoughtful, choice. I haven't found any good toys deals yet but did find a Robotics kit on Amazon for under $20, normally $50ish. My nephew is turning 11 in March and this will be a great item for him. He is into space and this makes 1 of 6 robots, one choice being a space station, another being a rover.

Battery tea lights are such a lifesaver when we have power outages!
For gifts for birthdays, etc. this year, I'll be sewing. I have tons of fabric and everything needed to sew all kinds of projects without having to spend a penny, except maybe for gift wrap. Even for that, I can recycle old gift bags or just buy some cheap paper at the dollar store.

Well, scratch what I said about buying gift wrap. LOL! I've been going through fabric and plan to make beautiful drawstring gift bags for wrapping presents this year. I saw a great tip about this--designate a certain color or design for each family member and you can re-use the fabric gift bags over and over and over! These can be tied shut with ribbons so little fingers can not open them until Christmas. The ribbon is easily replaced if necessary.
