Well, not really. No festival here LOL. I was just trying to be upbeat!
I have a quiet day planned. If the weather cooperates (it hasn't lately), I will get out for a walk, maybe two.
I am between classes right now, and I have six more scheduled (5 are half hour, one is 75 minutes).
My bright spot of the week, I will go to (Zoom) Bible study late morning. I think I'll make myself a cup of pureed soup to drink during the class so I won't have to gobble my lunch between Bible study and the rest of my classes.
For dinner, I want to make something with potatoes and shrimp. I'm trying to be creative today - I don't know why, I usually just use recipes.
Mel, I quite literally feel your pain! It got worse yesterday after mopping the floors, but it had to be done. I simply MUST quit injuring myself. I got a new chef knife which sliced through my chicken last night like butter. It also quite easily sliced through my finger. Whoever made up that lie that most cuts come from dull knives is an idiot. My bed is made, I have load one of two washings done, and I want to tackle my kitchen cabinets today. Hoping my spine will allow me to get some exercise in as well, or my blood sugar is going through the roof.
Good Morning Ladies. Sandra, enjoy your class! Merrilee, I agree, we both need to be more careful I ache more today than I did yesterday but I have vacuumed the tv area and gotten the dishwasher unloaded and begun the reloading. I am getting out my steam mop and I am going to tackle that kitchen floor if it lays me up the rest of the day. Our high was changed from 28 to 26. It has been 23 since I got up at 7. Our low is to be 13 or something. I have decided not to look, just muscle through until the freeze ends. Supposedly Tuesday. No clue on food. I know I have chicken. I can not find my stew meat but it is so cold in that front room that if I am in it more than a minute, my pain level soars. I will just play it by ear.
Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Well, my work is pretty much caught up, so I will likely spend today cooking and baking to keep the house warm. It is currently 8 degrees here, yet somehow the snow is melting? The sun is out which is likely why, but snow is supposed to hit late tonight and there is supposed to be quite a bit by southeast Kansas standards. Nothing like the east coast is getting! So far I got up, dressed, had breakfast, made the bed, did my morning quiet time and set some black chickpeas to cook which is going to be roasted with spices for a yummy snack food. I think I will also make pumpkin scones. My bedroom, ever and eternally needs more organizing as well. Stay warm everyone!
