I'm praying that my garden isn't a disaster. We have had rain for almost every day for past 3 weeks. Most of the rain has been hard downpours. We've had over 12". Weeds/grass needs pulling but it's difficult to get in there without our feet sinking above our ankles. Dh has gotten in a few times to pick squash and pull some grass/weeds. Tomatoes and peppers are wilty but there are many unripen tomatoes. Some purple hull peas have been totally submerged in water. I feel I'll be replanting majority of the plants.

So sorry to hear this! Seems like some places have drought while others have too much water!

Well, the garden is finished. All that rain I posted about kept many of the plants submerged under water for days. Weeds and grass grew like crazy but it was too wet for dh to get out there to pull the weeds and grass. About the time it had dried to enable him to get in there without sinking much it rained some more. I wasn't able to get out there becauae of the bad knee. He was afraid I'd fall not being able to see the uneven ground under the high weeds. Also a cottontail rabbit ate all my green beans. He was picking squash, okra and tomatoes for awhile. After my surgery on June 23rd he realized there is no way he can get the weeds up and replant. He just does not have that kind of time. He's having to help take care of me too.

Time to cut your losses there, then. At least the critters may get some use from the garden. You've done what you could.
