Sometimes, people think because DH & I work from home and the boys homeschool.... we were at home all the time before social distancing. Of course, that's not true. And I find that now (four weeks into this), I'm getting really frustrated. Church and tae kwon do classes have shifted online. Each seems to hav found it's new "rhythm" (schedule). But we have fallen apart. The first couple weeks, we made it to everything.
Last night, we managed to remember tae kwon do... and promptly forgot about the two online church events that took place after. It seems as if we're ALWAYS forgetting SOMEthing. It's tempting to just let it go... but our boys aren't exactly ambitious. Respectful? Yes. Well-behaved? Yes. (Well, reasonably so ). But they'd sit on the couch watching videos or playing video games 24/7 if left to their own devices. And they do like tkd as well as their church friends. I'm going to make up a poster for the fridge, but if anyone has any other ideas... please share!

I think maybe part of the problem is forgetting what day it is. Before you had to physically get out to go to those events and once it was done that was it. Are those things live streamed? If not then it's easy to lose track of time & day thinking you'll watch it later. Our church service & Bible Studies are put on the church's website & Facebook page so it's easy to watch at our convenience. But it's too easy to put off til later. Other than putting a schedule on the fridge I really don't have any suggestions.

"I think maybe part of the problem is forgetting what day it is." This is us! Last night we were trying to figure out what day it is. We put a physical calendar on the wall and mark off each day and write on it the important dates and times and it helps. Bible study nights, church Zoom meetings, church services...even marking birthdays and anniversaries has helped to keep us more on track.
