Rebekah, to be honest here I have re-used toilet paper if it’s just #1. I buy Charmin or Cottonelle so it’s thicker. Like you the fluid pills have me going a lot so if I use 4 squares each time I just set it aside (if it’s not that wet) to let it dry. It’s just me at home all day so no one sees it.

Wow Gina, you're braver and even more frugal than I am! LOL!
I made a couple of tp squares starting with 7 inch squares. I sewed them right sides together, leaving a small space to turn them right side out, then turned them and topstitched to keep from fraying. They turned out about 6 1/4 inches square, but I found the size a little big since I'm just using them for pee. So now I'm making them an inch smaller. The double layer makes them absorbent enough for that size.
Instead of buying a true "diaper pail" I'm using a plastic container with a lid for soaking once used.
Sorry if this is too much info for anyone, but our ancestors did many similar things out of necessity and still managed to stay clean and healthy and frugal.

I reuse the tp only once then flush it but at the rate I go pee it’s still saving money. We get discarded produce three times a week. Sometimes we get small aluminum or plastic container that tiny potatoes come in (with seasoning packets). I save the containers to use as cat feeder (food/water) or for the chicks to eat out of.

Gina, While you may not be able to get groceries delivered you can place an order for pick up which saves time and money because there will be no impulse buying. Hugs, Helen(Grammea)

If you have a bidet, cloth is the way to go. I can't get my sewing machine set up anywhere right now, but when I can, I plan to find some clearance cloth to make wipes with. We installed a sprayer on one stool and plan to on the other. It's cleaner and you don't use nearly the tp. If I switch to cloth, it's even better, but right now the tp usage has dropped. We got spoiled living in Kuwait where all toilets had the sprayers, even in public restrooms.
I work 5 days a week from noon-8:30. I try to run errands on those days or Sundays when I'm in town for church. I try to avoid Mondays now that Bible study is over for the summer. But when it's going, I have to miss it or drive into town all 7 days a week. I hate to miss church, but I don't receive communion through YouTube. There is a congregation closer to us that's in our church body. I attended there during the limitation on numbers attending at our church. Our congregation is within city limits and had to follow those rules. The one I attended is just outside so didn't have the restrictions. I could attend there for a while to save gas, but I'm not sure how significant it would really be though. Especially if I had errands to run anyway after church. I need to at least consider it for Sundays where I don't need to or just need to help out at the restaurant.

Thankfully, DH and I both transitioned to fully remote jobs, so no driving to work and no dress clothes. There are plenty of days when the only time that I leave the house is to take a couple of walks through the neighborhood.

I just posted about us getting a new (to us) couch, as ours is beyond repair and is going out with the trash this weekend. However, we decided to first rescue anything re-usable from the couch. The fabric on the back side of the couch always faced the wall and was in great condition, so I cut it off to make big dog pillows for our pets. The stuffing inside the couch will go in those pillows. I can make one HUGE pillow and another large size. Dh removed the bolts and any other hardware he could salvage. Most of the bolts were fine--no rust or anything, and he can use those in later projects. The back rest area actually has zippers to access the stuffing and I'm going to remove the zippers to use for sewing projects.
So, the couch was free to start with and now before it's scrapped, we got maybe $20 worth of salvaged materials from it. I feel like a little squirrel saving up nuts for winter! LOL!

At work we've been running short on copy paper. The church hasn't needed legal sized paper for many years, so the pastor has asked me to cut it down to letter size so we can use it in the printer and copy machine. The cut off part amounts to maybe 3 inches wide by 8.5 inches long. Once I get about 15 or 20 of these strips, I staple them at the top and make note pads. These are the perfect size for shopping lists or to-do lists or just scratch paper.
