Couldn’t think of another title. It’s overcast, drizzily, and cold. I’m going to finish Helen’s quilt while watching tv. Need to clean the kitchen and bathroom. Also clean off the wood stove. Haven’t used it in awhile so we’ve been putting things on it that oughta be going into the pantry. Dh says he’ll feed the animals when he gets back from getting a haircut and Lowe’s.

It's overcast here, too, but it's not raining at least.
We got an earlier than normal start. I mean, DH & I were up on time. But DS2 & 3 are volunteering at a fundraiser at church. The youth are offering a full day of babysitting (paid) so parents can holiday shop. The boys can only stay until 12:30 (more on that later)
DH & I did our grocery shopping. We didn't need much... so it's very interesting to see the tally still pretty high when we check out.
We're back now, just checking email, etc. before lunch. DS1 left for work before we got back.
After lunch, I will go with DH to his tkd class; I'll leave before he's done to go pick up the younger boys from church and bring them back. There is a special topic tkd class that they are attending this afternoon. I haven't decided whether I will walk during the class or watch. If I watch, I'm going to bring a Christmas crochet project. The crocheting part is done, but it's a character hat that needs to be assembled. The light is good there, and it will be a way to keep my hands busy.
Every one is having pizza tonight except me (I don't like my options, so I'll skip). I'm not sure what I'll have. There is plenty to eat, it's just that the kitchen gets a bit crowded on Saturday evenings.

I'm trying not to stress about all that needs done before Christmas. DD2 and her dh decided to go out of town to visit friends and left us to care for the cats. So, I've been driving foster daughter over each day to do that. I thought it would be ok if foster daughter showered immediately afterwards and I didn't touch the cats or their food dishes or litter boxes. . .but my extreme cat allergy is just not able to handle it. Dh will make sure the cats are cared for now until dd2 and her dh get home.
My car is still in the shop (will be 2 weeks Monday) but a church friend loaned us his van so I can get to work, etc. That's a blessing.
Now I just need to get my asthma and allergies under control in order to do my own chores today.

Not dreary at our place; sun is shining bright and I am in a cheery mood because my dh's old boss sent us a Christmas check as he does every year. I honestly didn't expect it this year as he knows we are homeowners now, but he sent it anyway. So I got a sweet holiday surprise to help with some last minute stocking stuffers and food for the freezer. Put out my Hannukah decorations and put the menorah in the window and did some shopping after my usual morning routine. Just washed dishes and now ready to relax and listen to my brother's weekly radio broadcast.

The sun is finally shining. Dh is coming home from the barbershop and post office. The barbershop is in another town 40 minutes away. He met up with a good friend and I’m sure had a blast. They love picking on each other. He stopped by the grocery store and post office. When he gets home we’re going to a farmers market to get more bags of nuts, apples & oranges. The ushers & greeters at church are making fruit bags for the members. We also need to get a bale of hay for the goats.

Merrileem, that's a wonderful surprise. Mountainma, I am just not stressing. What will get done will get done, and what doesn't... well, Christmas will come anyway! Our church usually has a covered dish/potluck luncheon on Christmas after worship. Normally, I like to make something a little special, but this year, if I do, I do, and if I don't, I just may make a trifle out of all the extra cake layers from birthdays that I have in the freezer!
I am BUSHED! We dropped off the boys, grocery shopped, and ate lunch. Then I dropped off DH, picked up the boys, got a text from DH that their class was a half hour later than we thought. THAT was good, because they hadn't had lunch! I stopped at the grocery store and got them chicken nuggets from the hot bar in the deli and soft drinks. We went there because it was the fastest option, but DS2 was impressed how much cheaper it was than his favorite fast food place (nice). We (DH & I) watched a little of their class, walked most of a mile, stopped because DH was thirsty, walked the rest of the mile, went in another grocery store to get some things DH wanted, walked back to the dojang. We got back in time to watch the last 15 minutes of class, so I didn't bother with my crocheting project (then class went another 15 minutes).
Our boys will sleep well tonight.
I put on a small pot of soup for my own dinner. I expect the kitchen to be very full soon of others making pizza.
