Not the social media kind; the countdown-to-Christmas kind
A light day for teaching: one class at 6 AM, one at 4:00 PM.
This morning, I need to take care of some emails and other administrivia. I would like to get the boys on some specific chores while I do that... but we'll see.
I also still have some gifts to wrap. I'm not in a big hurry. They are stashed right now where they can't be seen, but honestly, their shapes give them away so I'm not inclined to put them under the tree until the last possible second.
But after lunch, it'll be busy. DS3 mentioned off-hand on Sunday night that he has done NO Christmas shopping. Oooookaaayyyy... and we need to make a stocking filling trip (every one gets a dollar amount to buy things to put in stockings). At 2:30, the younger boys have orthodontist appointments. It'll be a full afternoon.
I took out a pork loin for dinner. I will probably slice it and grill the chops, with potatoes and veggies as sides.
No tkd tonight. I'd like to crochet or knit. No pressure now for gifts. I'd just like to work on something.
Have a LOVELY day.

I have eggs to deliver in town. But first this morning I need to work on my bathroom scale. Somehow it switched from lbs to kg. Yesterday I googled the brand but couldn’t figure it out. I’ll try again. Last night I cut out the top pieces for the next quilt so I need to iron them then start stitching them together.

I'm still swollen from the terrible allergic reaction last week, but my breathing is much better now. I have to work today. The church has double the workload for me this week, as they want a separate bulletin and power point for the Christmas Eve service in addition to the regular Sunday service which is on Christmas day. I'm not sure what time I'll get off today, but as soon as I get home, there are sewing and embroidery orders to finish for a couple of customers. These would have been finished if not for the allergic reaction.
Once all that is finished, all I have left is my own Christmas preps, which includes putting up a very small tree and making the Christmas crackers for dh and the kids.

Morning. This morning I've been to my dad's (that trip is getting longer every day with traffic) and cleaned the bathrooms. I also have the towels in the washer (and I think that they are just about ready for the dryer). I'll wrap gifts when I need a mental break during the work day. At lunch we need to run to Target for meds, chocolate, little Christmas houses (they are all white and only $5 each) and toilet bowl cleaner (talk about a weird list). I have an appointment tonight right after work so dinner will be very late.

I wanted to make another trip to the store for some stocking stuffers, but honestly, what I have is more than enough. The weather forecast is talking cold in the danger zone, so I am content with what I have. Ryan's birthday is coming up on January 9th, so I will save for that. Not much planned today except our Bible study Christmas party. When I get home, I need to get the elderberry puree out of the freezer and get the jam made as gifts for family. I want to get a bit of cleaning done in the kitchen, but we will see.

Hey, ladies.
Gina, our scale does that. I have to repeatedly press the button on the bottom until it gets back to pounds.
Michelle, will the traffic get better after the holidays? It's getting rough around here.
My "administrivia" ended up taking an hour longer than I expected. At least it's done.
I found six of cookie recipes that use stevia instead of sugar (yay) and - bonus - all but one use nut flour instead of wheat flour. I have more of that in storage now PLUS it will just be a good option for DH. I think I'm going to bake at least one batch of cookies today.

I think it's more rush hour traffic than holiday traffic.
