I've had a busy morning today. So far I've: * Done my Bible reading and got myself ready * walked (inside not outside) * put away laundry * ironed * made the final batch of forgotten cookies * scrubbed the kitchen * scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom floors * washed towels (they are in the dryer)
I have a couple of meetings today, but otherwise, I will be up to my eyeballs in budgets. At some point I may roast the veg for Christmas Day, and, depending on how restless we get, I may run out for olives for Christmas Eve. Oh, and I want to paint my nails.

Productive here, too. I had two classes scheduled (6 Am and 6:30 AM). The 6:30 kid didn't show, so I wrote the report for the first class and worked on organizing some new materials I'm using with students in January. That was not the plan for this morning, but BOY does it feel good to have that sorted out!
We're having soup for lunch. It's very cold, and I know the boys will appreciate it. I will probably make chili for dinner. It's one of the only soup type meals that DH likes and he'll need something hot in his stomach before he heads out for TKD class.
I need to go to the grocery store this afternoon. We will run out of milk this weekend, so I need to get at least one gallon. I don't want to go tomorrow and the store will be closed on Sunday. I also don't want to drive to Trader Joe's today. They have the cheapest milk, but they are also smack in one of the worst areas for shopping traffic. I will go to Publix and cross my fingers the price won't be too high.

I am hoping to be productive, LOL! Felt sooo good to sleep in this morning. My bed is made, quiet time done, cat fed. I am about to deep clean the kitchen; counters cleaned, fresh linens on the table, floors mopped. Then I have two loads of laundry to get done. I need to make chocolate fudge as well. I also hope to get the floors vacuumed. Two loads of laundry: done. Floors swept and mopped:done. Counters scrubbed: done. Sink cleaned and polished with stainless steel cleaner: done. All trash taken out: brrr! Done. Now to vacuum and make fudge!

I was up all night long due to the bad winter storm we got. Thankfully, we still have power and heat! Dd2 said their trailer is 35 degrees inside this morning. She has 3 space heaters and the oven going, and is wrapped in blankets with the cats for warmth.
I slept in and am taking it easy today. There are still 3 gifts to wrap. Dh is putting up a very small tree as I type this. Praying dd2 and her dh can make it over here tomorrow if the roads are better.

I’m staying warm. It is 16 degrees out so I’m staying indoors while dh does the outside chores. My toes have the hardest job of getting warm again (heart issues) so I can’t let them get cold. Our power went out for about three hours this morning and we lost water early last evening. Water is still off. The pipes didn’t break so it must be way down the line toward the county well. Fortunately we had a huge pot of water on the stove, barrels of water outside, and bottles of water. I’m hand sewing an apron while watching Jesus of Nazareth part one. Then part two comes on, then The Robe. All this on Movies! channel. Dinner will be pork chops and some veggie.

It's warm inside the house... but the furnace hasn't cut off yet. We're going to have a whopper of a bill next month.
I spent a couple hours wrapping. I didn't realize how many little things I had set back. But I think I'm done with WRAPPING. I didn't mess with bows. I can add those later if there is time (and energy).
I made a big pot of soup for lunch, then put on another pot of chili for dinner. We had biscuits with lunch and I'm going to bake corn muffins for dinner. DS3 has been baking most of the day I haven't been cooking. He made snickerdoodles this morning and is finishing up a batch of chocoalte chip cookies (the real deal, with sugar and gluten) now.
DH wants to leave early (WAY early) for tkd. The chili's in the slow cooker, so they can eat before, after, or both! DH is worried about the traffic with last minute Christmas shopping, so he wants to leave lots of time to get to class. He said we can "do something" in the event we're early. Not sure what "something" is, but I hope it's warm!
I expect to sleep hard tonight.
