sorry, but our water heater has a crack in it and being a holiday weekend, no plumbers are available. No help in sight. Very depressing. Can't shower, can't wash dishes. I will make the best of it, but doubt if we get any help til at least Monday if not Tuesday. Better start boiling water!

Aww, merrileen, that's too bad. I am glad you still have water, though, even if you have to heat it yourself.

Our water has been out since Thursday. Continuing freezing temps so no sense turning it on. Low water pressure Thursday evening then no water whatsoever so dh turned the water off. We’re going to church this morning then to some friends’ house for dinner.

Gina, that is awful. I boiled a ton of water this morning so we could both wash our hair and generally clean up before going to my brother's house for dinner this afternoon. On top of the water heater, there seems to be an issue with our plumbing in general, hard to explain, so who knows what this will end up costing us? The price you pay for owning as opposed to renting. But Ryan was over the moon with the new printer and so we are making the best of things. Oh, and we had an issue with our TV last night, but Ryan took the set apart and fixed it. Hope everyone is having a merrier Christmas than we are!

Our furnace went out last night and we are trying to manage keeping warm with using a couple of very small space heaters and the oven. Brr! Of course nothing will be open until Tuesday. The toilet is not flushing--we've been having issues with it for a while but now we have to fill a bucket and pour into the bowl to flush it.
Good thing we celebrated with the kids yesterday before the furnace died.
We will survive. It will be ok, but it is inconvenient and makes us realized all the blessings we take for granted on a regular basis.
