I have been eating gingersnap cookies in the evening for the past few nights. The next morning my fasting blood sugar has been very good. I was surprised at the readings because ever since I had Covid in July my readings have been all over the place. I did some research and found that ginger will reduce your fasting blood sugar dramatically and therefore reduce your A1c. It’s recommended to watch your blood sugar if you also take a med like Metformin to make sure it’s not dropping too low....that’s how powerful ginger is.

Wow! That's amazing! I would think the sugar and carbs in the cookie would make the blood sugar spike, then drop in the night. This is very interesting. Glad it's working for you!
