Good morning ladies, I almost wrote weeping Wednesday, because it is raining, but then I thought, too depressing because actually we need the rain. LOL.... Anyway, it is cold and rainy today, but there is still stuff that needs to be done. Needless to say, yesterday I had a lot on my agenda for today, but then I forgot to set my alarm and overslept. But I still want to do some stuff today. So as soon as I am done here, I will go ahead and change my sheets and dry a load of laundry. Kitchen needs cleaning and I need to definitely vacuum. Can't wait till I am rid of that stupid carpet and then I put in vinyl floors. This afternoon I have to work a little (after all it is called home-office not vacation), but I don't really feel like it. Oh well. I also thought about my couch needing another pillow with some structure though I thought about knitting one that I saw on pinterest which looked really cute. Don't you guys love pinterest. You should see mine, it is so full of stuff I want to do, make and whatnot.... love it. Anyway, I have decided that I need to also make some schedules, maybe one of those homemaker folders, where you have all your stuff in, except maybe online. So I will have to think about that.....I think that is enough for today, we'll see how much I will actually get done. Here is your verse for the day: 2. Chr. 7:13-14 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.Have an awesomely blessed day

Good morning Doris! It is cooler and windy here today too. After the 100 degree weather yesterday, it will be 83 and windy today. That works for me. My kitchen is done dining room done living room done So today I need to: Refill the pantry shelves. MJ secured them to the wall yesterday but they had to be emptied and pulled apart so today I will refill and weed them out. I really need to finish the Barbie sorting and get this stuff put away and off my desk. I also plan to rest a bit cuz my pain level went up over night and walking hurts today. I think dinner may be something pork chop... not sure yet.

Hi Doris and Mel! Logan is sleeping in, so I actually get to sneak on the computer a little bit this morning. It's going to be a hot day. And I have 3 "hot spots" to deal with this morning. What I really need to do is build myself an appliance unit instead of having it stacked on the floor in an unused corner. Sometimes I really miss not having thrift stores open, I love to buy wood furniture from them. Half of the times it's cheaper than buying the wood itself.

It was beautiful here in ohio today. The sun wasn't out but it was 72! I sat outside and drank my coffee and did my bible reading for awhile and my neighbor talked to me from her yard for a bit. It was nice to get some fresh air and talk to another human outside of our four walls. I didn't get much done as far as house chores today. I have to find a coop with a decent sized run. We got six baby chicks and they will need to go out in the next few weeks. All the coops are sold out and I am trying to figure out what to do. DH fixed the wheel on our wheelbarrow so he is going to put my dirt in my garden beds tomorrow. I bought a few more raised beds and would like to have my veggies planted by mothers day.

Doris do you own your apartment? I love listening to your ideas and plans. Mel, yes I do own my own apartment. It is a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment from 1956, 4th floor no elevator, lots of exercise.... lol. I don't mind, I love it. Anyway, what I would like to do with it is a rustic look, like primitive American, although I also like the rustic farmhouse. My bedroom is almost finished, except that I want to make a tie quilt with my husband's ties and hang that over my bed. But I had just renovated it when he passed, so there wasn't that much to do. My hallway will be dark floor and light wallpaper that looks like the wood of an old barn that needs white whashing. Needless to say, my sewing room is chaos still. I have so much fabric, lol. So far I have a lot of it wrapped around comic board, but now my closets are almost full. I suppose I can still fit some though, just have to rethink. I am debating on whether to buy some Ikea shelves called Kallax to put under my sewing table, that would provide more room and make it look a little neater, but money is tight...so not right now. Doesn't matter, nobody ever comes to visit, the 4th floor stair climbing scares them off. I do want a new kitchen. I looked at Ikea and I think I need a light one, because it is a small kitchen and I want a breakfast nook for me in it. I am currently down-sizing my kitchen supplies, with Jimmy being gone, I don't need that much. It is a start. Balcony is almost done. I do have a huge balcony, praise God. I love it. I have a 2 people dining set out there and a recliner, but I saw these beach chairs, which I could fit one for 2 people easily in the corner so I could take outside naps. I still have some junk out there, but I am taking care of that this year and then it is good. My living room, I am not sure yet. I ordered new curtains, which are cute, they do look like farmhouse I think. Well that is about it . Lots to do, but I have time.
