I've used Avon roll-on for years and years, but now have developed an allergy to it. I started using Lume, which is pretty good, but it's not an anti-perspirant and only comes in a stick or cream form. I don't like feeling "wet" all day from it.
I can't use regular scented brands as they break me out.
Any suggestions?

I don't use an antiperspirant, just a deodorant. I use Native.

I've tried Native and it breaks me out after a few days - probably the baking soda. I've had good luck with Arm & Hammer if you're looking for an aluminum free. Otherwise, I use Dove spray.

I sometimes use Secret alum free but most of the time I use my homemade antiperspirant made of coconut oil, baking soda & cornstarch.

I use Lume - it's not an antiperspirant, just a deodorant. If you follow the directions, you only need to use it every 2-3 days.
On occasion, I have used Secret, but I pretty much never need to unless it's deep summer.

I use Native but it is just deodorant not antipersperant. I would like to try the Lume! How long does a tube last? Is it expensive for what you pay?

I use Native but it is just deodorant not antipersperant. I would like to try the Lume! How long does a tube last? Is it expensive for what you pay? In my experience, a tube lasts a looonng time. I have not placed an order in over a year - maybe two. At that time, I ordered one regular (kinda big) tube, and a sampler of smaller tubes (different scents). It took me most of that time to use the smaller tubes. I am not working on the large tube. I think it's really, really important to follow the directions. I read people who say it doesn't work, and it becomes clear when they go on they aren't using it correctly. Used correctly, it works very effectively AND will last much longer. Basically: - Apply it immediately after a shower.
- Use a small (pea sized) amount
- Use once every two-three days.
There's no point in using it more often than two days because of how it works. I will say, if it's summer and I'm really self conscious, I will sometimes use an herbal deodorant on the non-Lume day, but to tell the truth... I think it's just the scent of the berbal deodorant that I'm liking. Makes me feel a little... fresher?
One other thing - I do not personally care for the "stick" applicator for Lume. It's a lotion, no matter what you do with it. Your pressing it out of holes in the top. It just gets all smeary. Yuck. I decided it's just better to use my finger and then wash my hands. Less waste.

One stick lasted me 2 months. I put it on after a shower, but only when my skin is completely dry. It DOES prevent odor very well. My issue with Lume is 1) it always feels wet 2) the constant wet/pasty feeling makes me scratch it off 3) it is not an anti-perspirant Right now I'm still using Lume because I'm allergic to everything else, but if I find an anti-perspirant that doesn't cause an allergic reaction, I'll switch.
