Prayers requested ladies.
Over the weekend, something odd started happening with my left (better) eye. At first I didn't think anything of it. Sunday afternoon it escalated, but it seemed weird, not problematic. Yesterday it became more intense. Anyway, I'm off to the see the eye doctor today.
Please pray that he will be able to determine exactly what the situation is.
Thank you.

Thank you Michelle
I have a vitreous detachment. It's actually a good thing, and I think my doctor was somewhat relieved. (Me, too,) I am at high risk for spontaneous (no trauma) retinal detachment, and he said both sets of symptoms are the same. The way to diagnose the difference is when the doctor looks into the eye. I'm still at higher risk (even higher now) for retinal detachment, BUT, even still, statistically, it's not likely to happen (just more likely than other people). On the upside, it seems this happens to many (if not most) people as they age. It may be a little early for me, but it's likely related to my extreme near-sightedness. He said my situation is hereditary and there isn't anything proactive to do.I need to monitor my vision for any changes for the next eight weeks. It sounds as if there are steps that can be taken if things do get worse.
Thanks again.
