Ladies, if you've never heard them, you might want to check out the band, Trout Fishing in America. I first heard them almost 25 years ago on a community based radio station that was highlighting an upcoming performance. The music was delightful. When DS1 was a baby, I found some of their CDs in the library and we got hooked (sorry for the pun) as a family. As the years have gone by, I've been impressed by the musicianship, how the fun remains in their songs, but also how issues of aging, growing older, and seeing the world slightly differently have become incorporated into their songs. Last night, they had their first live stream for this year. They were on Facebook ( click here if you have Facebook) and YouTube ( click here to watch the same thing on YouTube). I've never heard them play a single thing that is off-color, inappropriate, or that we wouldn't have wanted our kids to hear at any age. That doesn't mean their music is for kids. Some of it sort of is... but still has a strong appeal to adults. The forst 10-15 minutes of the live stream was them responding to people sending them messages. After that is about an hour of playing and singing. I hope you enjoy.

Dd1 and I listened to them. We especially enjoyed their song for kids, "My Hair Had a Party Last Night." So cute!
