Yesterday was a crazy day. My dad went in to a fib while on dialysis, so I spent most of the day at the hospital with him. Thankfully he is stable and my sister will be able to handle his discharge.
Today we are leaving for a long weekend in the Smokies. We have friends there, so we will spend time with them and some time in the park as well. It's about a 10 hour drive with stops.

Michelle, how scary! I'm glad you were able to be there with him, and it sounds like this weekend will do you good.
This week has just felt... very busy. I think I overuse that word sometimes, but this week, even though it's never reached the point of "too much," it seems as if every activity has been backed right up to another. For example, yesterday I went like teach-emails-eat lunch-run vaccuum-clean bathroom-gather stuff for church-teach-RUN TO THE BATHROOM- grab stuff and head to church-run to grocery store-run back to church to get kids.
Today will be a bit easier than normal. I cancelled two group classes that were supposed to begin today, so that's time reclaimed. Enrollment was low. I've been getting some (very) last minute enrollments, but right now, I think I need that time rather than gamble on having enough students for a class. I'm usually late to Bible study (it's on Zoom, but starts while I'm still in a class). That will be true today, too, but at least I won't feel rushed to leave.
Tomorrow afternoon, we head to the state folk school for a weekend of workshops. I'm taking a workshop with DS3, and DH and DS2 will be doing their own workshops. DS1 will be home or at school or working.
There is a tkd class tonight, but I may stay home and go through what I want to pack to take tomorrow. We shall see.

Still not doing well, and won't be til I can get my hip and knee issues sorted out, among other things. Very discouraging. I walked across the street yesterday to Braum's and it exhausted me! So far, quiet time done, bed made, two loads of laundry done. The good news is, with all the time I have since not rehearsing or working, I have gotten lots of sewing and embroidery done. Also been able to have time to read. I also got all my paperwork filed and organized, which feels really good. A friend is picking me up this afternoon to take me up to the Asian market and the farm store so I don't have to walk.

Merrileem, you've hardly had time to get past being sick, and I bet that puts even more strain on your hip/knee. I know it's frustrating, but try to be patient. Healing just takes time - can't rush it. Praying for you.

I ran to town to deliver 6 doz eggs. On my way home a lady friend from church (she calls us mom & dad) called to see if we have any covid test kits. One of her dds tested positive & now she and another dd are sick. Dh gets some every month since heβs on Medicare. So I took her a couple in another town and picked up layer feed while I was in the area and a few things from the store. Working on the quilt while dh cleans the living room. He told me to rest since we have revival tonight at church.

Today I finished a discussion board question for my history class about the war of 1812. I finally got my sour dough starter to get active and bubbly. I made a little to much so I have dough fermenting for focassia I will use olive oil and za'atar that a friend of mine brought home from Israel for me and I made a dough for a loaf for sandwiches and I have dough rising for bagels I am going to try and make. I have never made bagels before so I hope they turn out good! Other than that just working until 3am and hopefully I can get up early and finish my school work, finish up the kids homeschool for the week and have it all done so I can rest this weekend.

Poohbah, the website I shared on your sourdough thread has a lot of recipes for using it. Thank you! I appreciate the information. For some reason sourdough is very intimidating at first and then you find it isn't as scary as you thought it would be :-) The recipes look good! I will have fun creating new things!
