Good morning ladies, I wasn't feeling well yesterday with a migraine, but thankfully it is gone today. My thought for today is thankfulness. What are we thankful for? I mean realistically, are we also thankful for the things that are not going so well? If we believe that all things work together for them that love God and are called according to his purpose, then we must be thankful even when we think everything is against us. Think about Job, in all of what he endured, he never ever cursed God. I deeply believe that the things that are not to our liking are meant to further us in our faith, further us in our believe that God is in control and in our letting go and letting God take care of things, thus be thankful in whatever situation you are in, because it serves to better us. I will have a busy day today. I have to take my Mom to the home and garden store to get soil, fertilizer and such. After that I have to take an elderly lady shopping and fix her phone and then when I get home I have to do my stuff, like make my bed, do a load of laundry and most important of all finish my propresenter presentation, because we start church back up tomorrow, with hygienic regulations and all, its like a test-run, by invite only, if it doesn't work, we go back to virtual (like we stay virtual on Sunday). Here is your Verse for the day (one of my favorite verses in the Bible): 1 Peter 1:6-7 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Be thankful for this day, ladies. Love you all Doris

Hello, Doris! I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better today, but sorry to hear you had a migraine. Enjoy your day!
I've gotten quite a bit done today already and I'm not certain how much more I'll do. I do have to make my bed still, empty the dishwasher, and transplant some beans. We'll see if I tackle any projects today after that.
I pray you are feeling better today, Mel!
Have a wonderful, beautiful day!

Hi ~ so happy to have found you all again ~ and a particularly big wave to Doris my fellow European! I am ashamed to say that although I like to think of myself as a thankful person I am far more likely to be thankful when things are going my way. I think it's linked to my desire to always be in control, which is probably a response to fear and shows that I need to trust the One who is always in control more....yes I'm definitely a work in progress.
Today my grocery delivery comes this evening, so today's food has been rather imaginative as I am low on many things, however I am lucky that my family appreciate my efforts. These efforts mean a mountain of washing up that I must now go and work through. Hoping to sneak some time in the garden as well.

Good Morning ladies. Jennilee, thank you I am better today. I took a long soak in the pool yesterday, when it was 105 outside and it helped ease the achy. So yesterday the closet got sorted. I did not tag the gifts I will wait until the rest arrive and do them all at once. There is a group on facebook called... Jackie's Amazing Deals. She has helped fill in my Christmas and birthday stash quite nicely.
Susanan, not lucky dearie, blessed!
Doris, that verse really speaks to these trying times doesn't it? Everyone is panicking and saying where is God now, why is he letting this happen. Well he isn't doing this but he will use it to strengthen those who are truly his and weed out some who are not.
Now as to my stuff... I am up, dressed to the shoes and have already watered the back and front gardens. It is breezy and I really wish my clothes line was up! Our high today should be 81 so I am hoping no ac until after 9 when my electric is free. I do need to unload and reload the dishwasher put away a load of wash move one to the dryer and begin another. I wish I could do it at night but I am out of energy myself by then. My goal is a load every 2 days, washed and dried at night and folded in the morning. I had it working then had a really bad pain week and am not still trying to catch up.
I also want to put away the crib, since Charlie is not coming over, no need for it to sit in my room and get used as a super sized laundry hamper. It's potable so will be easy to set up when he comes again. I want to wash its sheet too. I want to clear the last of the clutter from my front room. Work on Barbie stuff. Possibly write, either for the blog or another project I have going. Not sure on food yet. Oh I do need to divide up the cheese and the frozen veggies into meal sized baggies. The front room clutter needs to get cleared away first, so I can use that table.

Extremely thankful this Tuesday! I contacted the VA, and even though Darrell may not be able to be placed in the facility here, they may still give financial assistance to place him elsewhere, which is a huge relief. All my ducks are in a row. Now the ball is in the court of the state agencies. I made the bed and did my quiet time and folded some clothes then did my weekly conference call with the hospital. Now off to do dishes, do a mountain of ironing and do some yard work.
