Good morning.
Another (surprisingly) full day. Class this morning, backed up with a video call for church. Then I have a free hour... then a Zoom meeting with the college that it looks like DS3 will attend (in a couple of years). That will go almost until lunch.
My classes between noon and 1 cancelled. This afternoon, I have one class at 1 and two in a row starting at 3:30.
Household do's:
This is the second house we've live in that has hard wood - real wood - in the kitchen. I will never understand putting that in! The first house, within the first two weeks we lived there, there was a plumbing leak and guess what was severely damage. Yep, the wood. And yes... there was insurance and it all got repaired... but if had been tile, it would have been as simple as mopping. I know tile isn't cheap... but neither is hardwood.
Anyway, thanks for listening to my soapbox speech 😁.
Church tonight. Last night's service was powerful. I've been to dozens of Maundy Thursday services, but last night's had a strong impact. It was palpable in the room. No one even moved when the service was over for a while.

Household do's:
- Empty bathoom trashcans. Wipe down if time (this is not a priority today, however)
- Take a walk. For all the busyness this week, I've spent an awful lot of it sitting on my backside.
- Unbox the floor cleaner we got. Now that most of the living spaces (all of them upstairs) have hard surfaces. I wanted a Floormate like we had (many) years ago, but they don't make them. (I loved that thing.). We got whatever the new version of it is. It arrived on Wednesday and I haven't had a chance to unpack it... much less use it! If you're curious, it's a wet/dry vac that's also a floor scrubber. With the previous one, I preferred to sweep to get debris up, but this is so much better than mopping. Once you've cleaned the floor using the scrubbing action, you can use the wet vac faunction and the floor is virtually dry when you leave the room. Although DH put down water proof flooring, still the entire kitchen and the entry way are hardwood.
