Yesterday went okay. Somethings got done; others did not.
What really threw me was that I had to go to the store in the morning. DH's birthday is tomorrow. Tonight is the only time we could all have dinner together, so we're going out. I wanted to wrap his gifts yesterday, only to discover no - zip, zero, zilch - birthday wrapping paper. It might seem silly, but we have always made an effort to use birthday wrap on birthdays. Other years, I would have wrapped it in plain paper (like brown craft paper) and decorated it, but this year, it was just quicker to hop in the car. Having a grocery store so close helps a lot.
Church turned out okay (if scattered). Even though they said they would feed the youth, it must have only been snacks. When everyone got home, we all just made ourselves something or ate leftovers.
Today I have my morning and late afternoon classes. I cancelled my middle of the day classes. The online bible study I go to has been wanting to meet in person. They tried a few months ago and (I guess) a lot of people didn't go. So, they (those who were there) decided to stay online most of the time, but meet in person for a brown bag lunch every three months and actually planned out the dates. Yay! So I can plan ahead, arrange my class schedules, and be there. (That said, I need to remember to pack myself a lunch...)
I also need to call the restaurant to see if we need reservations. It's (just) Cheesecake Factory. We haven't eaten at one in over ten years - closer to 20 (since we lived in California). We walked in a few months ago and it was MOBBED, but that was a weekend. Anyway, it's DH's birthday dinner, so I'm going to try to make it happen.
If I get through all these things, I'm going to call today a win.
Have a lovely day.
