Good morning.
Yesterday was one of those busy, didn't stop, but nothing to show for it days.
DH had a doctor's appointment about an issues he's been dealing with. Since it involves a food sensitivity, DH decided he wants to do an elimination diet instead of medication. He told me at lunch time he thought I could help him with that since I dealt with it so much when the boys were little. Well, wowzers. I'd planned shrimp for dinner! I fed the shrimp to the boays and DH & I had chicken. But every time he'd reach for one of his staple foods (because he's picky, he has specific items and brands he likes), I'd say something like, "You know the 2nd ingredient in that is soy, right?" I thought it was kind of hilarious that he said, "I'm (meaning him) am going to have to plan for this." He didn't think about that before asking about me helping him 😂 We'll see what happens. I used to cook almost entirely from scratch. I've given up since he just won't eat many things any more that aren't on his "list" of go to foods. No point in food being wasted, and I'm disinclined to cook multiple things for one meal. I am also going to talk to him about this "planning" for this he mentioned. He's kind of terrible about "planning" and not telling me. If we don't have a discussion, I guarantee he'll make a plan and never tell me until I repeatedly serve meals that he just won't eat. 🤦🏻♀️ He's going to have a challenge. Most of the foods that he relies on heavily are on the list of most allergenic foods. Ah, well. Another adventure!
Other than that, I taught, but didn't get any housework done. Just... nothing. No crocheting, no eating bon bons 🤣
Today is a "normal" Wednesday. Three classes before lunch, two after, church tonight. I do have to run to the jeweler to pick up two watches where I had the batteries replaced. (I was supposed to do that yesterday, but DH took the car to his Dr's appointment... which I learned about as we were both heading for the car. We'd've gone together but the places were at opposite ends from each other.) I'll run to the jeweler after my last morning class but before lunch.
Have a great day.
