Good morning.
It's a typical Thursday for me today. I do have one less class than usual, but other wise, lots of classes. I'll slip into Zoom Bible Study this afternoon as well.
I don't have any household plans for today. Just keeping up with the basics (food, dishes).
I'm making burger patties for dinner. I'll grill unless it's raining.

I am simply amazed at the goodness of God. Not only does he have a better job, but it is substantially more than he was making before, with full benefits including dental, retirement, the works. Government job. He will be doing housekeeping at the local veterans home. I asked why not work the kitchen since that is where his experience is, and he said I just want to do something different, and if he doesn't like it he can always go sideways into another department. So far, quiet time done, bed made. Will be doing a couple of loads of wash before physical therapy, then a bit of shopping, and I need to hit the pharmacy.

Merrilee, that is wonderful about Ryan's job.
So far quiet time and breakfast are don., I've walked, worked out, gotten myself ready and the two loads of laundry are washed and hung/dried. Yesterday evening was pretty hectic, so tonight I will get caught up around the house. My list is: * change the table linens * dust * wipe down handles/switches/outlets * sweep the hardwood floors * mop the laundry room
Once that is done, I will knit.

That is fantastic about the job, Merrilee.
Michelle, you've reminded me. I was testing this super cute crochet pattern and injured my finger last week. I have no clue what I did, but it swelled up to the point the wrinkles in my knuckle disappeared. I had finished all the parts of the project, and only needed to sew them together. My hand seems to be back to normal, so I will take that to work on at tkd.

Merrilee, how wonderful about The new job! Sandra, hope your finger is better now. Michelle, you amaze me with how much you do every day!
Yesterday we went to a quilt shop and I found some adorable panels of baby books. They are SO cute and were on sale, too. So, today I'm working on baby books and pulling out some summer projects to sew. I'm hoping to make some mesh tote bags this weekend.

I had to run a couple of errands in town. Fed the animals and took care of an orphaned chick I found alone yesterday. While outside today I saw a mama hen with 4 tiny chicks so I slipped this one in with hers. So far so good. Then I heard a kitten cry and found it alone. Eyes open so itβs at least 10 days old. Saw it the other day with rest of the litter & the mama but the mama moved the others yesterday and left this one. Brought it in the house. I need to take a friend her plants and get in the garden later today when it cools down.

It's helpful that we have a relatively small house, and it's just DH and I, so cleaning doesn't take too long.
