There's a great youtube channel called Mornings with Granny. She has several videos called "What If?" where she challenges the viewer to make meals from a handful of items. It's a great mental exercise to learn to stretch food.
Today, it's not just theoretical for me. We had a huge unexpected expense this month and payday is not until Friday. We are short on many items and will be eating from the pantry. There's plenty of food, but much of it I cannot have like the rice, potatoes, pancake mix, or fruit etc. Here's what I have to work with. I need 12 meals each for 3 people.
a dozen eggs bacon grease powdered milk red potatoes, onions, garlic canned goods like green beans, tomatoes, carrots, tuna, chicken pantry items like oil, vinegar, mayonnaise, jam, rice, spices, salt, baking powder, baking soda, bullion, ranch salad dressing, peanut butter instant pudding and jello gluten free pancake mix and gluten free cornbread mix a small serving of tossed salad and a few raw carrots some ham lunchmeat 8 oz. cheddar cheese and 8 oz. cream cheese saltine crackers (only dh can have these) frozen salmon and some frozen deer meat
There's a few other items not listed. There's no bread, butter, fresh milk or cream, or fresh veg. What would you make? Dh is a big eater, dd1 and I are gluten-free, and I'm on KETO.

Many times I’m in the same predicament. Right now I’m trying to pull some meals together using just what’s in the pantry and what’s in the freezer. Last night I opened up cans of various kinds of beans and dumped them into the slow cooker. I’ll look over your list again to see if I can come up with some ideas. A friend gives me boxes of stuff she gets from a food pantry (she gets lots of boxes of it to give to the needy) and so much of it is not good for diabetics.

I understand, Gina! It's a challenge for sure, especially when different members of the household must eat special diets. Last night's dinner was burger soup--half the venison burger, canned tomatoes, broth/bullion, and some spices. I eat it plain, but dd1 and dh get cornbread with theirs. Dh's lunch today is a quarter of the burger mixed with a potato, some green beans, and pudding made with the powdered milk.
Today's lunch for dd1 and I--buffalo chicken dip (cream cheese, cheddar cheese, a can of chicken, ranch, and spices)
There's enough leftovers of these items to cover dinner tonight.

Do you have any gf flour? If so, you can make a gravy using the powdered milk and some of the ground venison. Not exactly sure how you would incorporate gravy into a meal since you can’t have biscuits but your dh could have biscuits and gravy. How about chicken with cream of chicken soup (don’t remember if you have that) topped with cheese? I’m coming up with ideas using the tuna and canned chicken but most of them use some sort of pasta. I get frustrated standing in my pantry trying to put something together that I can eat. I end up eating something I shouldn’t.

Good idea Ginakay! There's no cream of chicken soup as it's not KETO or gf, but we can use gf cornstarch for gravy with the canned chicken and put it over potatoes for dh and dd1.
Dh's lunch was the same as yesterday, only I put bbq sauce on his burger and potatoes instead of ketchup. I still have eggs I can scramble or boil for dd1 and I.
I think for dinner we'll make the frozen salmon with rice and green beans.
