I have the grandkids at the water park. Before leaving the house I went into the garden to pull a few weeds and pick some stuff. Fed an orphan newborn kitten some goats milk with an eye dropper. We’ll spend a few hours here (just got here). At 14 & 15 they go off together (rule #1 is that they stay together) so I sit in the shade and read with occasional dip in the wave pool. Afterwards we’ll eat then I take them home. This evening I’ll spend time in the garden picking more tomatoes. I’ll make more pickles and freeze more okra.

Dd1 and I are visited a tiny farmer's market. They didn't have much this early in the summer, but I did manage to get some cucumbers and yellow squash, which made me very happy. Dd1 was thrilled to find someone some common interests and they chatted for a long while. Today is the only day this week that we aren't supposed to get rain. It's no nice to see the sunshine!

Today's been much busier than I expected. I thought my first class was at ten, so even though I got up normal time, I dawdled. Wrong plan.
DS2 had an early morning interview for a training program he really wants to attend. Last night, DH and I questioned him about the location - was he comfortable driving there? He repeated assured us he was... I guess after he slept on it (and his nerves ramped up) he realized he'd really appreciate someone riding along and reading the directions. (He doesn't have a smart phone and the built in GPS for the truck is outdated and untrustworthy). Then the appointment got pushed back and THEN there was construction on the way back.
The good news is that it sounds as if the interview went well and DS is VERY enthusiastic about the program. It's a full year long, he could still work part time for most of the year (he would probably need to take the final three months off of work because the hours increase), and the tuition would be fully covered.
I'm still catching up. I have two more lessons, and I am not sure that sany housewirk will be done.
Thankfully, there's a cookout at church tonight, so that will be our dinner.

We had a lollapalooza of a storm last night, the like of which I have not seen since the Columbus Day storm back in 1962. It was literally a hurricane here, with sheet lightning half the night, and unbelievably, Ryan slept through it all. I worked today, after doing my morning routine, came home and cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed the living room and collapsed from heat exhaustion. I went to the drug store then to the Asian market, a bad idea in 100 degree heat.
