Today will be really different for me, but I have a feeling it's one of those days that comes around this way through Providence.
I find myself for the first time in months with no lessons to teach. I do have one late morning meeting. I don't think I'll be free all day, however. Two things are on my radar:
1. Some household stuff. There were things I normally do on Wednesdays that didn't happen since DS2 asked me last minute to ride along with him to his interview. I believe I did the right thing, but gracious glory, by luck I just happened to look into the boys' tub. Holy moly, it's like someone took a mud bath in the past week. I seriously do not know how they got it that dirty. Aside from my normal Wednesday tasks (mostly floors), I will be inspecting that bathroom a bit more closely and expressing requests to DS1 and DS3 who will be home all day.
2. Yesterday some issues came up with the business side of my teaching. I even missed Bible study because one possible BIG problem came to light right before (like minutes) we were supposed to meet, and I ended up trying to fix it. As far as I know, it is NOT fixed yet. It was kind of a last straw, not like I will stop working with that company, but it feels like a lot to deal with in combination with another platform I teach through. The other platform is making broad policy changes that will impact 90% of my teaching. I need to write to the parents of these students about it so they're aware. There are a lot more details involved than I will take up space and time with here, but after yesterday afternoon, I felt as if today's "open" schedule was a gift for me to work on addressing some of these problems.
Have a great day, ladies. Stay cool and hydrated.
