Did not intend to work today, but they begged me. They have end of the month paperwork to submit and I am all that is left to mind the store. The lady who normally works sadly is on dialysis now, so it is all falling on my shoulders right now. About to do my morning routine and quiet time after doing a mountain of dishes from last night; I got tired of giving Ryan reheated food so I made his fresh when he got home along with an icy fruit smoothie after her hot four mile bike ride home from work.

Wow! Bike riding in this heat. That takes stamina (and making sure to hydrate!)
I am in a similar situation with DS1 in terms of reheating food. With ambulance work, he often doesn't know when he'll actually be able to leave, so lately he's been starving and picked up fast food wherever he is (even going places I know he doesn't like). He's good about eating whatever I save the next day... but, again, reheating. With the schedule DS2 is looking at for the coming academic year, it will be even more of the same.

Good morning! It's supposed to rain here and I'm hoping it will bring the temperature down.
Merrillee, how is Ryan liking his job?
Today I need to pay bills and work on sewing for a craft fair that's coming up soon. I'm making adult bibs and stuffed dogs. At some point I need to menu plan for next week.

Fed the animals and picked some stuff from the garden. Feeding the orphan kitten every 4-5 hours. One of dh’s uncles gave us a mama cat and five of her babies last night so I got them situated in the chicken coop (snakes don’t like cats so between them and the guineas snakes oughta stay away from the eggs). Uncle told dh that if we didn’t take them it was going to set a bowl of anti-freeze outside 😡! And they call themselves Christians! Dh came home this morning but has to be back out this evening so he’s sleeping. I have teleconference prayer at noon then I think I’ll go get a square bale of hay and a bag of layer feed so he can unload it before he goes to work.
