Good morning ladies!!! I have the usual Saturday chores to do today. Thankfully DH should be home to help because we also have a birthday party to go to. The extended family on my dad's side is getting together to celebrate my cousin's 70th birthday. Her, her daughter, and her granddaughter came in from Texas for it.

In answer to the question from yesterday, Ryan loves his new job so far. Mainly because they leave him alone to do his work and don't micromanage him like they did at his old job. He isn't thrilled about the fact that he got pulled into the kitchen the last few days due to understaffing and his experience; he really wants to clean and not be back doing his old work again! Anyway, my morning routine is done and my money hit the bank last night three days early, so I am off to the meat market to get some supplies for the month. As soon as Ryan leaves for work, I am getting all the floors swept and mopped. That is the plan so far.

...isn't thrilled about the fact that he got pulled into the kitchen the last few days due to understaffing and his experience... Merrileem, DS1 went through the same thing this week. He has been really excited about responding to 911 calls; he's been clear from the beginning, that's what he wants to do for work. But for his first shift this week, he was asked to switch to drive a medical transfer ambulance because they had so few people and he is both an EMT-A and has been trained to drive. He gets paid the same and, on most levels, it's a much easier day and he is far more likely to actually get off when his shift is up... but it's just not what he wants to do. Today is going to involve a lot of shopping. DH and I went to the farmer's market (such good prices) and our two normal super markets (where we didn't spend as much as lately because we just didn't need as much). Later, we'll take DS3 to do his shopping for his cooking class (if I had been more awake, I would have made him come with us). We also need to buy him just a few garments for camp (starts Friday). I had ordered them online, but the package got lost. No time to re-order. And we're due to buy gas, so DH talked about swinging by Buccee's. I spent most of yesterday in front of my computer, and much of the afternoon composing emails. One of the platforms I work on is making major changes and I had to write emails to all of the parents of students these changes will impact first. I got a bunch of responses that I'm going to reply to when I'm finished here. I'll also need to reach out to the other parents. They won't notice the changes at first, and I want to make sure they're aware when it does impact them.

Good morning!
Yesterday I got so caught up with sewing, I completely forgot about meal prep and meal planning, so I'll do that today. I'm still working on the stuffed dogs for the craft fairs. Dh and dd1 have gone out shopping. They are going to make some displays for us to use at the festival, so we can hang items to sell. It will look much more professional and free up floor space inside the craft booth. I found EXACTLY what I want (well, a picture of it) and they are going to build it. It looks like old screen doors, only with fence roll instead of screening, with shabby chic hooks and all painted white. It will fit the look and function we want. My goal is to use up as much of my fabric stash as possible, making it into things to use or sell, to help clear out my sewing room. Once that is done, I can quit the craft fairs and just focus on alterations only. It's a big job, but exciting!
Sandra, I remember the girls going to camp and all that went along with it. It was such a fun time for them.

I’m feeling much better today. Haven’t vomited since yesterday morning. Felt a little nauseated this morning but nipped it in the bud with a Zofran. Got the animals fed and picked some tomatoes and a watermelon. There were lots more tomatoes but I was sweating so bad and heart racing so I had to quit. Went to the feed store and now eating lunch in town waiting to meet the bread man for the day old bread. I’ll rest when I get home then feed the animals this evening. Dh will be home tomorrow so he can unload the bread.

Yeah, EOTS, That is the one positive in the situation, he gets substantially more pay for what he does than the kitchen staff does, and he gets the same pay no matter where they put him.
