My doctor has put me on Jardiance for my diabetes plus it’ll help my heart failure. She suggested going online to the manufacturers site to apply for discounts or even get it free. I’ve done that with another med and got it free but it was a different manufacturer. I tried for the Jardiance but after clicking I’m a U.S. citizen and have no insurance I was denied! My pharmacy was charging $500 a month, Walgreens it’s $745, and at Sam’s it’s $400. My pharmacist (independent pharmacy) told me that for uninsured patients he charges only $10 over what he has to pay so he’s not making a lot but does it because he doesn’t want us to pay outrageous prices. So he has to pay a lot for that drug. Anyway, I checked out Canadian online pharmacies. Our health share ministry has a list of reputable ones. The Canadian Store has Jardiance for $32.99 a month!!

Outrageous.
I am really wondering how far things will go before people just refuse the deal with it any more.

I do think that some of the prices are outrageous, but I also know how much it can cost to get a drug approves here. For a pharmaceutical company to even sign a contract with my docs (my second job), it will cost them $14,000 minimum. And that's before we screen a patient.
And we don't do phase 1, so the Drupal has gone through animal trials and at least 1 other small human trial before we get involved.
