Another sunny and very hot day. Maybe showers tonight (30% chance). Dh got in early this morning and was feeding the animals when I woke up. I have a coupon for a free breakfast for my birthday (which is Monday) from Denny’s. Hadn’t used it yet and it expires the end of this month. When I get home I’ll do the decluttering I have been putting off. It seems I get more done when he’s home. I think it’s because he does all the outside stuff whereas when he’s gone I have to do all the animal feeding so I’m tired.

Take it easy, Gina.
Today DH & I shopped, and I made DS3 come along to get the ingredients for his Monday class. I was a little annoyed with myself. We went to store #1, then store #2, where I remembered something specific I meant to get that they don't have at store #2 so we went BACK to store #1 on the way home. After everything was put away and we had lunch, we went to the local "pickers" place. They always have interesting things for sale, and today is a "luau" celebration, with refeshments and door prizes. We didn't win anything and we weren't hungry, but we saw lots of interesting vintage items.
We also walked around Southeastern Salvage, which is a sort of overstock place for furniture and construction items mostly. DH likes to check things out there.
Back home, I'm sitting in on a Zoom. It's a graduation ceremony for a continuing ed program and I have a friend in there graduating. I can also see a mutual friend who's "here" to support her, too.
After this, I am going to try to take a nap. We got tickets for a house concert. (I'd never heard of these, but apparently, they're a thing). Anyway, some local musicians that we've met separately belong to a band and they're playing. DH, DS2 and DS3 and I will go. DS1 has to leave for work by 6 AM tomorrow, and he wants to be in bed early.
It's humid here (it stormed like mad this morning), but it's much cooler. After days close to 100, the high today is only supposed to be 84. It's part of why we went out - to get out and walk around while it's not too hot.

Much sicker than I realized. I thought it was just allergies, but I am getting worse. A bit concerned because there is a big outbreak at the veterans home and the employees are being required to mask up again, so it might have been brought home to me, but who knows? It might just be a heavy cold. At any rate, I am staying home so as not to spread it. My morning routine is done. Otherwise, all I have done today is listen to music and rest.

Merrileem, do you have any test kits? I highly suggest you test yourself. We had a church member call me early last Sunday morning to tell me she had a cold and didn’t want to come to church (she’s one of our ushers) with a runny nose and sneezing. I suggested that she get tested since Covid is still going around and those were my symptoms when I got it last year. She did and was positive. So it’s good to test and not assume it’s allergies or a cold. Good to find out so you don’t expose others.
I’m working on the bedroom with frequent breaks.

Gina, you have a good point. And with RSV going around, too, it's important to get checked (even if you use a home kit).

Yes, we still have two test kits here. And yes, I tested negative.
