Good morning ladies! Morning routine is done and I've talked with DH. He drives home from DC today. He'll leave around 1, so he should be home by 5 or 6 (I hope).
I do need to use the wood cleaner on the dining room table and do the dusting.
I'm going to try and get most of my heaving thinking work done this morning so that I can talk with DH while he drives home. He hasn't gotten much sleep this week between events going late and then he's been sick - we're pretty sure from cross contamination.

Michelle, was the cross contamination from gluten? It's so difficult to get gluten free food while on the road. I wish more restaurants would take gluten allergies seriously.
I wasn't able to do anything yesterday due to pain and swelling, so will try again today. I have a chiropractor appointment, so maybe that will help.
Merrilee, I'm glad you're safe from the storms. There were power outages here but we're fine.

I’m leaving the cardiologist office from having an echocardiogram done. When I get home I need to get some housework done. Tonight is Bible Study.

Hello, ladies! I'm way too late today for good morning, but good afternoon!
This morning went okay, but was a bit of a mess. I had a bunch of lessons (one rescheduled from another day) and an online appointment. In the midst of this, (thankfully, between classes) DS3 popped in with unexpected questions about his current schoolwork. We realized he wasn't enrolled in certain classes, so I sent off those requests. I also pushed him to catch up on some content for his live classes, and we talked about when his math tutoring should be. Around this same time, DS2 called because he was lost. He was driving to the first meeting of his vocational classes. He'd driven there before and thought he'd remember. About ten minutes after the class had started, he realized he was going in circles and called me. Google maps and I 😉 helped him out.
I took a break for a quick lunch (the lady my appointment was with was very generous with her time, but I had to kind of push my way off the phone) before my next lesson. I've caught up on emails and popped in here.
I got NO housework done yesterday. Please don't ask me where the day went. It just seemed like I was constantly sidetracked. At one point last night, I went to do something, but ended up walking the dogs instead (because they needed to go outside), which led to me breaking down a pile of cardboard (because it was there and needed to go). That's kind of how the whole day went. Move toward one task, have two others pop up.
Michelle, sorry about your DH. Food when traveling can really be a minefield. As nice as our getaway was, when I asked DH what he wanted for dinner the second night, his ONLY request was "SALAD!"
Gina, it sounds like you're feeling better.

I am still trying to get things back to some normalcy here. Bed made, quiet time done, packed a lunch and went to work for a few hours. I then went to the Asian market for a few needed items for our dinner. Now I am doing a big load of laundry and getting ready to cook up some veggies before they go bad.

Sandra, I am feeling much better. I had a surprise today. The financial assistance office from Scott & White called. The lady asked literally three questions about our finances and if we have insurance. Since Samaritan isn’t real insurance I said no. She said that the entire ER and overnight hospital stay will be covered!! We pay nothing!

The other issue is that even something that seems like it will be fine might have hidden fish in it. Things like Worcestershire sauce - which is made with anchoives.

Things like Worcestershire sauce - which is made with anchoives. I figured it was something like that. Between my 2 girls and I we have wheat, gluten, fish, shellfish, eggs, and food colorings. Meal planning is a challenge.

Ha! I tried to delete my post inside your post, Michelle, and the results weren't quite what I anticipated. LOL! Sorry about that. I think you can still understand my response, though.
