I haven't been up two hours and have already been dealing with "the unexpected." Usually, I drink a cup of coffee and thumb through the news, but luckily today, I got up and straight into the shower.
First, DS1 was up getting ready for work. This wasn't a surprise, but he likes to chat in the morning. My normal routine while waiting for my coffee to brew is to empty the dishwasher. I made it to the kitchen by 5:30, dressed but no makeup. I was trying to empty the dishwasher while DS was in and out, chatty, and DH was trying to make his breakfast (and I could tell a little annoyed at sharing space this early, but realizng that wasn't reasonable and trying not to show it). THEN DS2 came in and said, "Can I have your help between 6 and 7 to fill in some paperwork?" I have a class at 7, so I offered him 6 to 6:40, and scrmabled to my computer to get ready for my class. The paperwork ended up taking way less time than that. I walked the dogs, who were having a bathroom emergency just as the skies opened up. At least they took care of business with great speed! Then DS2 brought up the need for a smart phone. He isn't lobbying for a new one, but is requesting an old one we have. We've resisted previously for some very specific reasons, but now he *does* need it for school. So, now, today I'll go to the phone store to get the service for that phone turned on.
I honestly haven't thought much further than this today. I do have two late afternoon classes and there's tkd tonight. I plan to ride along with DH and DS3. DS2 will not be home from work in time.... UNLESS he starts going to the later class, which he's been planning on doing at some point.
So, I guess the summary is that my day is very much up in the air! I do know that dinner will, somehow, involve a slow cooker.
Have a good one, ladies.
