This week will be the first full week with my fall schedule. It includes a "bonus" of cancelled classes to go with DS3 to a program at the local college that is an outreach to students interested in culinary arts. It's a monthly meeting, so I feel like it's part of the big puzzle that is my schedule.
For today specifically, in addition to lessons in the afternoon (I have a single lesson early morning), I have another HVAC appointment. We have a special filter in our system that is replaced once a year. At Friday's appointment: Do we need a new one? I asked. Yes, was the answer (well, of course, it's been a year). Okay, can you just one in? I didn't bring it with me. <sigh> Well, why not? (I didn't ask that outloud). They installed the system; they know what it is; they know the filter replacement schedule. Oh, well.
Otherwise, I'm just going to spend time with "MoMos." Michelle, I think you asked me about that and I don't think I got to responding. "MoMo" the icon on the Motivated Moms app. Somedays, that little last saves my sanity.
For you ladies who enjoy Bluegrass, if you ever get a chance to hear "Old Time," give it a listen. From the player's standpoint, Old Time is very different. Some folks play both, of course, but I have also met people who distinctly like one and not the other. The jam DS2 and I went ot yesterday was an Old Time jam, and it was a really good one. A lot of the folks in the group are retired, and the fellow next to me was super excited about an upcoming fiddle festival because there will jams every day for all instruments. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I just can't take five days off to go play (as much as I'd love to).
Have a wonderful day.
