Do you of you use a water filter system for your home? Dd1 complains that our tap water hurts her tummy and I'm looking into solutions for that. I know there are different filters, etc. but have little to no experience. Any recommendations?

We use an RO system here. Our water is terrible. An RN told me when I was a home health aide not to let my client drink the water as it coats the stomach, kidneys and liver with lime and calcium. I can't drink it anyway as it hurts my stomach too.
We rent our ro from Culligan and it runs roughly $30 a month. It includes servicing as needed, usually every 6 months for us. Really BAD water as most places need service once a year.
You can buy a system from Lowes for about $300 if you have someone ho can service it for you. Change filters, flush the system and so on as needed.
