Good morning ladies! So far, morning routine is done and I have today's laundry in the wash - actually, it's done, I just need to go down and hang it up. Today I want to scrub the kitchen and sweep the floors that I didn't get to yesterday. I may also mop the kitchen and bath. At lunch we are going to do the grocery list. Tonight we are going to do our weekly WM shop. Oh and I am done with work today at 2.30 and don't come back until the 2nd

Weight is way up from the sodium laden Chinese buffet last night so Lasix will be taken shortly. Blood sugar was almost too low (82) so ate some cottage cheese. I’m waiting at the front gate for the repair shop to bring our riding lawn mower. It had needed some work done. I’ll do some mowing as I ride it across the pasture to the house. I’ll finish feeding the animals then I need to go shopping for a dress. Most of my dresses are now too big on me and we have a funeral to go to tomorrow (dh’s boss lost a sister). Also today I want to make ketchup for dh that contains no or very low salt. He ate quite a bit of ketchup with his dinner last night and had a bad nose bleed during the night. The air wasn’t dry (no heat needed) and he’s had a high blood pressure lately so I imagine the sodium caused it. He loves ketchup & hot sauce. He’ll have to talk to his dr. Normally his BP isn’t high but sodium plays havoc with it.

Wednesday night, dh went to his dads to check on him, then came home. Shortly after dh left, his dad fell into the Christmas tree and dh's sister didn't get a call until 2:30 a.m. He's having trouble using the cell phone now and couldn't remember how to call for help. So, dh's dad and sis were in the ER from 2:30 a.m. until about 9 p.m. last night, when the hospital finally got him a room. Dh just left the house and will spend all of today at the hospital with his dad.
Dd2 is having a terrible time with morning sickness and is off work today, so dd1 is staying with her today. That's a good thing, because they can keep each other company. I've been taking her to doctor appointments because she is too dizzy and nauseaus to drive, while dh drives back and forth helping out his dad. We barely see each other anymore!
With everyone gone, I have a whole day all to myself to sew and finish the baby quilt I'm working on. I still don't have a Christmas tree up, and may not bother at this point. At least I got all the shopping finished early. LOL! It doesn't seem like Christmas with everything that's going on.

So far, bed made, quiet time done, two loads of laundry done. Made a pot of dal to go with tonight's Indian feast, now going to the Asian market to pick up a few needed items, then I need to mop the floors.

Rebekah, I'm so sorry for everything going on. Thanks for the kind words, Michelle! It is what it is and we're taking a day at a time. I can't complain, though. I'm thrilled beyond belief that we have a grandbaby on the way! And we're pretty sure this is dh's dad last Christmas with us, or at least the last Christmas where he'll be able to recognize any of us. We want to make the most of the time we have with him. We are so blessed because dh and dd2 both work for the state, and the governor gave all the state workers the day off today. So, dh is able to be at the hospital with his dad and dd2 can miss work and rest today without calling in sick again. It's such a time of transition!
