Good morning ladies!!!!
Quick recap of the last four days. Saturday got up and went to a hotel breakfast with SIL. Growing up DH and his family did that on Christmas Day, then we moved it to Christmas Eve, now it will be on a Saturday around Christmas (this year DH and I have church, in future years, it's not a holiday for us). Got home from that, and did a grocery store run. Went to my cousin's to drop off presents and then got the normal Saturday stuff done.
Christmas Eve, got up for church and then found out that my sister tested positive for COVID, which meant the cooking would fall on me. After church I went to my mom's and started frying the fish and helping her with the rest of the cooking. Dinner was the feast of the seven fishes. We had: fried calamarri, fried smelts, trout, pasta with calamari sauce, shrimp thingytail, shrimp scampi, and mussels.
Christmas Day morning we did brunch at my dad's then went to my mom's in the afternoon for presents and dinner. We face timed my sister and BIL during gift openings and brought my nephew with us (he's 12).
Yesterday we slept in, sorted gifts and then, since it was so warm we went on a walk in a small town that is near us.
Today I want to play with my spice jars (Christmas gift from my mom) and also take inventory of what spices and herbs I need from the Amish store and I might do some cleaning in my office. I also have a couple of loads of laundry to do.

Except for the COVID part, that sounds lovely, Michelle! I envy you your spice organization. Ours is craazzzyyy right now. Most days I cook, I end up calling DS3 in to find something in the pantry. I've made it his responsibility to organize it, and he does well with that BUT we keep adding to it each week he has a class. Yesterday, of all things, I coudln't find the cinnamon. He was exasperated and commented, "Someone moved things around in here." I reminded him that we all end up using the pantry!
Not sure how today will unfold. DH & DS2 are working. DS1 is sleeping, I don't know when he got home last night. DS3 will be up soon, but he's been dedicating his days off to enjoying his "new" video game in a series he likes where he goes off on quests and such.
I have some big ideas hatching in my mind for work, and I'd like to get that documented. But church is also having knitting circle today. I haven't been in months, so I might go. I used to go regularly, and then they moved it smack into a time I am always teaching, so 🤷🏻♀️. Anyway, it will be nice to see people.
Have a lovely day.

Sandra, I use one of those shoe hanger thingies that hooks over the door and has all those clear pockets. I mark each pocket with a letter. Some pockets need the same letter like “C” since there’s a few spices that start with C.
I’m feeding the animals right now. Then I’ll drive the car to the back so I can unload the produce without having to carry each box (6) boxes across the gully & pasture. It had been too muddy to drive back here but I think it’s dried up enough. I’ll go get the bread when the guy calls. Tonight is Bible Study so the families I deliver bread to when I get it on Mondays can get it after Bible Study tonight.

Good morning!
Dh and I went out for some much-needed alone time last night. We ate at Olive Garden and used a gift card we got for Christmas. It was so, so nice! The restaurant was quiet and calm and we had such a delicious dinner. The past week has been so hectic with his dad, then Christmas, and all the shuffling of schedules so the siblings can rotate staying with his dad now that he's out of the hospital. It was wonderful to relax and have time together.
Today is a very full day. I have to make vegetable beef soup (I already cooked the roast for this) and go through the fridge to clear out/use up Christmas leftovers. I have to get meds for dd2. She has morning sickness so bad she cannot even drive and has missed almost a week of work. Of course the pharmacies were closed over Christmas. I'll get the meds and deliver them to her and probably help with some light housework while there.
The checkbook needs updated, there's a small sewing project I want to do by Sunday, the microwave needs scrubbed, and the dog bowls need cleaned/sanitized. Guess I better get busy!

I made the bed, did my quiet time, got a pot of baked beans in the oven to cook for the day, washed all the dishes. I cleaned the counters. I burned my hand with boiling oil, so my hand is bandaged with neosporin, so I don't know what I will get done with my injured hand, we will see.
