Good morning ladies!!!
So far today my quiet time is done and we've had breakfast. I will finish getting ready in a minute and then we are off to a Mennonite grocery store and a Kroger (we don't have Kroger in my area). I need to stock up on flour, oats and a bunch of spices. There are also some Kroger brand items that I want to pick up.
Once we get home I need to get the laundry done.

Good morning!
That sounds like a lovely day, Michelle! I haven't been to an Amish store in eons.
I've been pretty productive so far today: prepped dinner for the slow cooker (it needs to be started in about 40 minutes... and I remembered to set a timer to do that!), did a little leftover/lunch organization, took out trash, recycling, and compost, walked the dogs, and asked a friend about having lunch.
The rest of today I'm going to focus on finishing up the work I was doing yesterday. I want to use that momentum!
Have a lovely day!

The nearest Kroger to me is almost an hour away and forget finding an Amish or Mennonite store in Texas although there is a small Amish community somewhere further south near the border I believe. Animals are all fed and now I’m fixing me a late breakfast. Had to take care of some business over the phone. I need to deliver 4 dozen eggs in town and pick up discarded produce this evening. Before picking that up, though, I need to finish unloading all the bread. I gave away quite a bit last night after church and filled one drum but there’s still some left (not a lot).

My quiet time is done. I am awaiting a callback from my doctor; on top of still having some residual effects of covid, now I have a UTI. So I doubt much gets done today, but I am going to try and get some cleaning and straightening done in my bedroom.

Sorry about your hand, Merrilee. That has to hurt.
Michelle, we no longer have an Amish store here and I sure miss it.
Dd1 and I went through bins of fabric and pulled out a bunch that I will use to make tote bags for Operation Christmas Child. Now I need to iron and cut out the pieces and pack it all for my next sewing retreat.
Dh is spending the next two nights with his dad, and dd2 was able to go to work today and doesn't need my help, so I'm going to putter around the house and do some organizing.

We are definitely lucky to have decent ones not too horribly far from us. The one that we went to today is about an hour and a half south. We decided to go to the other one tomorrow which is about an hour and a half north (we're going to take my SIL there and then go to Waffle House for lunch). The big Amish area is about 2 and a half hours west of us. And those are just the ones that I know about.
