We woke up to an inch of powdery snow this morning. At least the whitness makes it less gloomy looking outside now.
I'm feeling a little better. At least I have a bit more energy although there is still some pain in my kidney/bladder area.
I listened to church online, now need to make lunch so it's ready when dh returns from services. I don't know if dd2 and son-in-law will be over today or not. They don't always communicate, but I make extra on Sundays in case they do come.
My sewing is piled up since I was sick all week. Hopefully I can get some of that done today.

Snowing here too. Stayed home from church. Bed is made, quiet time done, cat fed. One load of laundry done, another washing now. I will likely spend today reading and praying and more cooking.

It's chilly here but clear skies. The cold is coming, though. By Tue or Wed, your high will be our low, Merrileem. People are all covering their plants.
I did some menu planning yesterday and Tue & Wed, I will have hot meals. Wed, the coldest day, I'll leaving chili in the slow cooker. DS1 will be at school all day and I'm sure appreciate a ready meal; the rest of us will be at church and glad for something hot that's already made when we get home. DS3 is cooking Mon, Thurs, and Fri. Mon & Thurs look like comfort food meals, too.
DH, DS2 and I are headed to a an old-time jam shortly. When we get home, I'm going to stuff and roast some acorn squash. I already prepped the squash yesterday. We'll have salad on the side.

It’s 37 here right now. Was 33 when I left for church. After church we had a meeting to attend then on the way home stopped at the grocery store. Dh is wanting chili do needed the ingredients. I’m resting now because by the time we got home I was having chest pain and my BP was 195/90. I’ll make the chili later. I’m just going to rest while dh does outside chores (chopping wood, put hay in all the animal enclosures, etc). The animals that can come inside will come in but, no, geese, goats, & horses cannot come in.
