Or are you not thinking that far ahead?
It seems my back garden was ruined by tiling. So I will need to build garden boxes instead of planting in the dirt. There is about 6 inches of dirt and if you go below that it is caliche, which if you till it into the dirt, it kills the dirt. Last year we tilled, not knowing about the caliche killing effect and so now it is worthless for growing. I am beginning to buy and save wood for building the boxes.
Have you decided what you want to plant yet? I know I will have a variety of potted things, herbs and gerainiums and Vincas for a beginning. Not sure beyond that yet. It depends on how far along I get in my box building project.
I would LOVE watermelons and cantaloupe and pie pumpkins.

Iām planning my usual. Cucumbers, yellow squash, watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, peppers, okra, green beans, basil, oregano, mint, and maybe corn.

I am hoping that the Lord will move us somewhere where we can garden.
