I mostly reclaimed the dining room table yesterday. It was a big difference.
This morning, I got up to empty the dishwasher, but <sigh> ended up running it. I had my quiet time, showered, dressed, etc, walked & fed the dogs and then emptied it. I just finished breakfast before logging on here.
Last night over pizza, DH pointed out that we unwittingly created a very full Sunday today. We start out with a normal Sunday - worship followed by Sunday School.
We'll come home (our normal lunch time) drop off the boys, walk the dogs, have a snack, probably change into more casual clothing, and go back to church for a training they are doing for people who will be coordinating some small groups. I don't know what we need to be trained in, so I'm curious and they are seving a late lunch, so it will be nice to visit with people.
After that is our monthly old-time music group. It's just a coincidence these two events are on the same day, but we'll need to take our music stuff when we leave for church.
And then rush home again because (again, coincidence), there's that big football game tonight and the youth traditionally have a party. Thankfully it's at church which isn't too far away. DH didn't think of this, but if time is tight, I'm going to call home and have one of his brother's take him to church. (Theoretically, he could drive himself... but we will have the car.)
Our dinner is going to be mini chicken tacos, tortilla chips, salsa, and guacamole. All to be eaten in front of a game we haven't paid attention to for a while. DH used to be a dedicated football fan. One of the perks for him of moving to CA was getting to watch Monday Night Football and not have to stay up late. But he lost interest in watching sports about twelve years ago. The only exceptions are the Olympics and today's game. He still follows March Madness, but I don't think he actually watches any of the games.
Have a lovely day, ladies.
