Y'all. I've been up 2-1/2 hours, and already...
Had one of those adult-child/parent conversations where said adult-child is trying to be really mature but puts the parent in the position of, "I understand. Now, you ALSO NEED to keep in mind all of these other adult responsibilities" (that are you currently shirking). I didn't say the last part out loud... but it was clearly there. So that was fun.☹️ Not. How do you get these ideas across (you are blind to this other thing that's happening/not happening, buddy) without coming off as pedantic, angry (I wasn't), bossy.
THEN, the next adult-child is on his way out the door but comes back to let me know there is a mouse - still alive - caught in a trap. 😟
So, I've done my quiet time, adult-parented, showered, dressed, prayed for the little mouse and then dispatched him, walked and fed the dogs. Oh, and read my email.
I'm getting ready for the rest of my day over a meal of bread and fat-free peanut butter and herbal tea.
I have one class, then an open morning.
I plan to go on a brutal cull - I'm going to enter a variety of rooms, set a timer, and begin removing items not used. They either go into a donation box or they get moved to the garage and listed on marketplace.
At 11, I will stop and give myself a nice, quiet lunch. I don't really have a plan for lunch 😁 but it sounds appealing right now.
Right around the time I begin my afternoon classes (which will run from 1 to 5), DH will get home.
DS3 has a class and will make dinner. DH will not want to eat it. The kids will all be gone for the evening by 6. Part of me is tempted to suggest to DH we go out then and get some dinner he wants... but on the other hand, he's been eating in restaurants all week 🤷🏻♀️
Have a good day.
